Takeover Rumours

Is this a good thing? I have a lot of respect for how they re-engaged with the fans when we were rock bottom, and pushed through a number of necessary cost cutting measures.....and I really like the blokes to be fair.

However, do they have the experience and football knowledge, to appoint the right people in the right places to take us to where we should be (ie. a Southampton, Burnley, etc)?

I sincerely hope they are, but would like to open up the debate and hear the opinions of others.
We know they've made mistakes, hiring a manager who's not used to L1, selling Maja, buying Grigg, being vague about finances etc etc but they did what they said they'd do and found a new owner.

The only problem I'd have is if they're making the sale difficult by wanting to stay.

Personally I think they're Football Director wannabes and if the deal hinges on giving them the boot then I'm happy to see them set off on further adventures in football away from SAFC.

Aye, about an hour agan, cheers, marra. Might need a little snack afore agan ter beed, like.
Huevos Rancheros ?
nah. Sod that. I queued for 9 hours in 2014 and could only get tickets about 2 rows from the moon. I've been behind the goal for both Wembley trips since and never even left my front room to join a queue.
Except for the bar at half time

I’m hearing rumours a consortium from Birmingham have launched a late bid, a group called the Peaky Blinders with a gentleman called Tommy Shelby being the main shareholder. The hold up is a member of the consortium by the name of Polly is being banged by every member of our first team squad so she hasn’t managed to sign off the paper work yet but be patient.

You must get fed up mate you just try to post what you know and people just try to shoot you down.

I'm sure that for some they just do it because it's the only chance they get to try and shoot anyone down. No doubt sat in a chair, the missus in firm control of the remote, not allowed to go to the pub, and they think "fuck this, I'm going to take it out on a random from the message board"

Iv never claimed i get much info as i dont but the time i did about ross being persuaded to stay and us looking for a new manager the first post in reply was calling bullshit its mad.

Can someone bring me up to speed on SD? Am I right in thinking he's sold some of his business interests and has moved his operation to Sunderland?

If so it might indicate that via SAFC he and Methven have elevated themselves from reasonable successful businessmen on a national level to part of a global business partnership. I'd say that's good reward for their work off the field over the last year.

Would be wonderful if they genuinely see the potential of SAFC, but also the city/area, and are making it their business to realize it.

Taken only from what he's said on twitter, he hasn't moved his operation, he's opening a new office for his business in Sunderland, Bridle leasing.

He has sold Bridle insurance.

Aye, you've got to be very thick skinned to do it, fair play to Reiver, he doesn't give a fuck! I've only once got "ITK" info, very randomly through work, texted a mate about it but there was no way I was going to bother posting it here just to get a grilling (and that's exactly what I would have got, had been told that Short was desperate to sell us, a good couple of years before it came common knowledge that he'd been looking to get out, would have had people calling me all sorts if I'd posted that!)

No. He's sold off the insurance business, and the car leasing bit is opening a branch in Sunderland. However, its head office will stay at Witney.

So Reiver wants someone to report him
There will be no need in a couple of days time if all his reports are just horrible hogwash
He will surely be banned sine die without a hope of any redemption date on this forum or any other representing lads fans
I just hope he isn't laughing out loud at our expense if a ban arises:);)

I'm on holiday in Florida with the family, father in law is an old school mag, used to go but doesn't.
He's got no need to use internet and I've been feeding him information the last week or so.

I've got him convinced we're now the richest club in the world and Wenger is the new coach
Please keep this going with regular updates!

Tell him we've signed Hudson Odoi but will be loaning him back to Chelsea or something like that.
