Takeover Rumours

Is this a good thing? I have a lot of respect for how they re-engaged with the fans when we were rock bottom, and pushed through a number of necessary cost cutting measures.....and I really like the blokes to be fair.

However, do they have the experience and football knowledge, to appoint the right people in the right places to take us to where we should be (ie. a Southampton, Burnley, etc)?

I sincerely hope they are, but would like to open up the debate and hear the opinions of others.

They're only making the tea & sweeping up after the match ;)

It's a great thing imo. They have both worked incredibly hard and done a great job not only in reengaging with the fans but also in terms of doing the financial work required in order to make us an attractive investment for people like the ones buying us now (and of course Methven seems to have been instrumental in getting them to the table). They can continue to do the micro managing that the new owners won't be able to commit to, especially assuming Donald is moving to the area, and we know they will continue to ensure we run a tight ship and aren't wasteful with the money we've now got. They deserve to stay, enjoy the ride and hopefully make many millions from it down the line, I think we'll benefit by them staying so aye, can't really see amy negative to it whatsoever

there just showing the Dell boys round the flesh pots of Sunderland & east Durham till they get themselves acquainted with the area

Based on the recruitment team they have put in place you’d say no. Once they have bit cash behind them and responsibilities of runnin the club with actual bosses maybe they’ll get that right tho

Whether it ends up being a good thing or not, if the takeover goes ahead, they certainly deserve the chance to try.

Anybody coming on here for more inside info will probably be left feeling disappointed, the deal is done its just the announcement we're all waiting on. I'm just enjoying the minor spats and craic because we all know in our hearts its done, even the WUM's and Mags do.

Exactly, waiting for the right moment for maximum exposure.
The fanny drippers on here are embarrassing

I think it is. The way the club has been run away from the footballing side has been excellent. That said if keeping Donald meant keeping hill et al due to his loyalty then I’d be less impressed. The footballing side needs an overhaul.

Great news. They to some stick a bit ago which was poor but I sense folk were just pissed off.
