Takeover Rumours

On the contrary, if you want to lose, say, the CEO, or replace the recruitment team with a DoF, and have replacements ready to announce, you'd want to have an agreed settlement with the leavers so you can announce the whole thing in one go, particularly if the Americans aren't planning on being here en masse that regularly. So the deal could easily be signed off, ready to announce, but waiting for the the key immediate post-acquisition appointees to be in place before actually doing it.

Bollocks....multi Billionaires don't sweat the small stuff...

If the takeover had not happened SD would of told us. Not a chance he is going to let people get this excited for no reason

Not really that strange. May be waiting on official EFL approval, with England games on they will be waiting for a free day in the national press, may be wanting to make staff changes behind the scenes, finalising paperwork with the club to become official board members, arranging transfer of funds, transfer of shares in the club paperwork etc. Loads of things to sort out even if all the initial details are sorted and signed.
..so first it was Bury and Bolton holding it up, now it's England playing. Could only happen to Sunderland   ;)

I'll wait all season for this takeover if we can get promotion in the meantime. That's all I have to say on the matter. Oh, and cheers Reiver for kindly posting what you were told last weekend.

Amazing some of this like "don't get carried away in case it all fucks up". If anything went wrong, or if it goes through and we still end up in league one, I'd have much bigger worries than whether a few mags were digging up old message board posts tbh. If you could only get excited when something goes right and you win something then most of us would have a fairly miserable existence as a football fan.

I'm allowing myself to dream because I want to. Wasn't long ago that I posted a reply to kildaremackem saying I wouldn't really want Donald to sell to anyone who had less than about £500m worth because I didn't think they'd be able to make a huge difference. He said I must be on crack if I thought anyone with that much was possible. As such I enjoyed PMing him to remind him of it when this news broke (he didn't reply, then got banned later, oh well). Imagine spending every day dreaming of a major investor coming in and then, as soon as it looks like happening, trying to pour cold water over it for everyone else. That's really not for me.
Just miserably trudge on through life & die mate, cos someone might laugh at us

Yet spewed this out a few days ago

The Chronicle is becoming as bad as that themag website that sugarcoats everything that is Benitez related or hoys 2 week old milk over owt that's Ashley/SAFC related and this is why we laught about it when links to their deluded or bitter drivel are posted here :lol:

North east paper my arse

Bit of a dampner if we are keeping Ross
My thoughts are that while we’re up near the top he’ll be ok then if results drop he’ll be gone. I don’t think they hang around hoping things change, they’ll make it change.

Do it waste your time responding to mood hoovers, save it for sending out snippets to the rest of us.
Googled moodhoover  and found this book. I can't say who is the ginger kid is on here as I will be accused of bullying but @janey is the lass in the last picture
