Totally agree. People are happy to serve in the USA here its seen as beneath them to serve others. I have NEVER had a bad experience with service in America its absolutely brilliant and I always feel that the staff really care.
To be fair the service is great because ( as i understand it) they get taxed on an assumed amount of tips. So if they dont get tipped they still get taxed.

Hopefully it repeats itself

Ha'way man, talk of a 65,000 seater stadium with a retractable roof but playing at home to Fleetwood in the league. You couldn't make Sunderland Football Club up.
To be fair, you could probably extend the stadium and put on a retractable roof for the price of a Joe Linton. That’s the kind of thing that would also help generate additional future revenue.

That may be the case, I dont know. I like to be treated well and to receive good service from people who seem to enjoy their job so it works for me. In the UK we pay through the nose for shit service from people who would rather not be there at all as they all think it is a menial job that requires minimum effort.

We sold out a 48,000 SOL when we had a sniff of success in the past so why not.

We are uniquely placed in this country in the fact we own the land around the SOL and thanks to the SOL's design we can relatively easily and cheaply. A 65,000 SOL would look and be amazing and be one of the best football grounds in the world.

Hopefully if we need the further option of an extension on the West Stand we would be in Champions League territory! :) I would love to think it would be needed!!

Cheap seats for kids though...lets build the Club's support for decades to come...thats how Im a sunderland fan as I had the chance to come to Roker Park as a kid...many like me in mainly mag territory.
This was a bad day...

36,000 there that day, which included a big allocation of West Ham supporters.

We were 4th in the league, and where we sat at the time up in the concourse was like a morgue that day and that was my first inkling that all wasn't well. A poor turnout, the crowd that was there had grown expectant, and we just didn't show up. Funny old game.

I agree - the appointment of that bumbling Connor as Head of Media or whatever was certainly an example of low ambition.
It was and had been for many years utterly shambolic in all areas recruiting, academy, corporate, entertaining etc etc, allegedly when Short practically washed his hands and gave the Chairlady/ CEO carte Blanche to run the club.If this does happen with these guys backgrounds, the whole club should change for the better.

Thanks mate, that's greatly appreciated.

I did speak to Mr Tonna and he gave me carte blanche to post about him on here. He's a good friend and knows how fanatical I am about the club.
He laughed about it all tbh.

I posted that link as much to reassure the decent people like you as to kick the doubters in their nuts

Must admit I shared his concerns when I read your earlier post so I’m pleased that you’ve got the Italian buy in to sharing more detailed information.
Most of the fan base will buy into supporting the new owners but its good for it to be highlighted prior to them coming on board.
Thanks again for the update.

Trouble is over here, ya get some half sleeping half brain dead 16-21 year old who's not interested in even being there let alone doing a job and providing a service. They're only there because mam and dad's made them get a job to keep theirsells in cheeky Nando's and Jägers whilst they sleepwalk through college and uni.

I*'ve been drinking the good stuff for the past week. At least that way if it all comes to nowt (i don't think it will) then i've had a great time anticipating world domination
not the worst idea ever
I intend to buy a bottle of Veuve Clicquot when it's done and dusted - and I haven't done that since I heard the news that Thatcher had died.
laurent Perrier, and a straw......actually no that kills polar bears....pint glass...Neck!
