Is anyone else finding all this a bit surreal?
I'm not doubting any of it, just gob smacked.
Are we really going to go from rock bottom to potential big time Charlie's?
I think these Americans are looking at us as a potential Rocky scenario. We've done Netflix, now for Hollywood!!!
Pretty much......after years of being kicked in knackers could it actually be true that we may have a moderation of success.....?
the talk of Champions league blows my mind....I'd be happy enough to play exciting football in the prem, with a manager that stays and almost creates a legacy...I'd just like to see us win a trophy in my lifetime too...it's a fair way off yet...I dunno, I'm still trying to process it all.

not sure how true this is but I was told that they’ve looked at putting a roof on the stadium! They want to attract all sorts of events to us, different sports and bigger names for concerts. The roof would cost north of £20 million! I was like howld on could that not go in to the club and the reply I got was “don’t worry about that, if they are ready to spend that on a f***ing roof they have plenty to go in to the football side”. All from the same fella who gave me a few bits of info at Rochdale.
Hope they put the lights back on ....always a great sight when the SoL first opened.

I think history tells us....and them....if things are right on the pitch, the fans will come in their droves, and the SOL will become the fortress it was in the Reidy days. We can be relied upon, but after so much misery and false dawns, they've got to get it right.
From everything you say,I'm sure they will. Can't wait!

I've worked for people like these and they make your head spin, the dynamism is absolutely relentless.

If you fall off the troop carrier they don't even look back to see if you survived, they just drive on.

People can't get their breath and anyone who questions the revolution is lead outside and out up against the wall.

It sounds harsh but it works and forms a much tighter team than having 'cake runs' and 'secret Santas'.

I'm sure there are people who've been through that and will recognise the scenario.

modern seats dont have this issue iirc. They are more likely to get worn by arses being on them. Wonder if the new buyers have factored this potential cost into their budget.
Bums on seats is an issue that has been considered.

Posher supporters are being sought.

Aren't you going OTT? Community spirit and leaving a legacy seem to have taken a backseat or are the Germans the ones taking over?

Sound like the sort of people who could easily have an abrupt change of mind and call the whole thing off without a second thought! ;)

Sounds class but I just can't help but think this is all too good to be true.

Like the crazed gun toting millionaire, on The Simpson, who makes endless impulsive purchases ;)

If the prospective new owners have the chance to be promoted this season, and its not beyond us at this time, they will already have identified areas that are failing and will move fast, that's what I would do. The alternative scenario is that, it gets to January and we don't even look like a team that has a chance of promotion with this manager and his staff are in control. What happens then, they fire him? The wait of six months, putting off cleared decks is time that cannot be clawed back. They (I wouldn't if it were my money) will not hesitate to pull the trigger, so why wait until then. It makes no sense.
My thoughts entirely, why wait! These guys aren't where they are by pure chance and will hopefully come in, as @Reiver says, like a tsunami and make the necessary changes almost immediately. They're not going to want to dick around in L1 for another 20 months!

Isn't it just....

He will probably be back tho...

Who's he gonna be next time ?

Wonder who the fuck he is ? ....interesting

I have to say he's a character and I watched him closely, for ages, before I called him out.

It was like watching a slow-mo of a motorway pile up ...
... messed up your day but morbidly fascinating.

He didn't intrigue me as much as he seemed to do for others. His spelling charade frustrated me though. I think him and Grumps should have had a forum of their own to debate a lot of that boring financial stuff.

Supported club home and away over 35yrs and I for one want to be another Man City or Chelsea I think our fans deserve it more then any after the shit we’ve had and watched over the yrs any supporter that doesn’t want it step back and don’t get on the Rocket ride !!

hope this comes off, and the team end up competing at the top of the premier league and in Europe for a long time. however after the way my old man was treated by the club 4 years ago, and no replies from emails to the current owners, we as a family wont be back. my old man saw his first game in 1935.
