He was sat near us on a train back from Arsenal once and came across quite well. He saw we were Sunderland fans and came over to chat, he was actually quite forthcoming and realistic about the club and was happy to discuss things, saw him chatting with a few other groups of fans too.

He isn’t a MLF but does seem to care about the club. The only thing is his job seems entirely dependent on the goodwill of the club so publicly he is always going back them and say what he thinks the club wants him to say, which inevitably is going to grate on the fans.
