Most of them are students..if we sign any decent footballer from China or India, our crowds would definitely go up as there's thousands of them living in Sunderland already but I agree 100% with you marra

Next time you walk down Chester Road, Roker Avenue or through Hendon I think you'll rethink this reply Steven ladMost of them are students..
A very good post mate.. Ethics and hard work. Paying for those players who have a winning mindset..my type of playerAgree with what you say,but I don't think Man C have sold their soul. Their players seem to have a work ethic and a professionalism about them whenever I've watched them play. It's all about recruitment......yes,they'll pay top money, but it has to be for the right player, and there's no reason why we can't be like that if all this comes off.It isn't just about signing a team of highly paid star players. I know someone who knows someone in the know at Man City and they spend as much of their time on scouting and recruitment as anything else......Guardiola insists on it.They focus on character, attitude and lifestyle as much as skill. They can afford anybody, but there are lots of players currently in the EPL who they've looked at and wouldn't touch.
I hope our new management will continue with an ethos of hard work, character, good attitude that permeates its' way throughout the club, from top to bottom, that any players coming in will subscribe to from day 1.
If we play exciting, attacking, winning football, together with an excellent matchday experience, they'll come.
A lot of them are students tbf.. Not all of them.Next time you walk down Chester Road, Roker Avenue or through Hendon I think you'll rethink this reply Steven lad
I'd deliberately bypassed this post originally but I can see this theme recurring so I'll give my opinion.
You could say easily say that the club is already a 'rich man's plaything' and has been for years .... Donald, Short, the Irish, etc,
None of those people had any real connection with Sunderland and that's true of the owners of most clubs including Bury, Bolton and Darlington.
Modern football is all about money ... there's no going back on that and, on balance, I'd rather we had some.
It's up to the owners to run the club properly, maintain the infrastructure and aim for success ... the supporters are the soul of the club.
I watched the Spurs game, on Sunday, and when the cameras went onto the crowd it's truly incredible how many obvious tourists, swathed in brand new merchandise, there are.
Go to Chelsea and almost all the stewards, programme sellers, catering staff, etc are immigrant workers.
That won't happen here, no matter what happens we won't be having coachloads of Japanese 'football tourists' coming here and the majority of staff will be locals.
Whether success is 'bought' quickly or slowly it's impossible to get anywhere without money ...
... whether we regard the club as a plaything or not is our choice, jealous people will but **** them.
lots of students lots of non studentsA lot of them are students tbf.. Not all of them.
Knew we had one transfer record, don’t suppose you know the other 3.Hasn't most of our successes and league titles come from having wealthy owners back in the day. The Bank of England club and I believe it's 4 transfer world records broken.

Probably having to be careful in case you get branded a racist... There's a fine lineI think you'll find that a lot of the whole population are students... not all of them. A lot of posters are posting their opinions and some others are being deliberately contrary.... not all of them.

Most of them are students..
With a University, campus, and schools around the area, along with student accommodation and flats...What kind of percentage, ethnic mix and how did you make up your facts
Is that a copy and paste from yesterday?Since Ellis has left we'll have had more coups than a banana republic
