Takeover Rumours

Realistically changing the manager is the only discernible change the new owners can make in the short term.

Otherwise the whole thing could fall flat this season.

Then what .... new manager next summer, buying new players, bringing in new coaches?

If so why not just get the process started while you can energise the support, the players and the entire club.
Totally agree. I would still think they would take guidance from Donald or otherwise why keep him on.

nee shit sherlock :)..

Yep, Americans on the whole are very insular ( you obviously are an exception), why take up international sports when you are guaranteed to be "World" champions in American football, baseball and basketball. Cuts out the middle man :D

I seen a report where the stats are showing less and less US kids are playing American football...if those kids turn to ‘soccer’, then I can see the US being a bigger player in the international game. Until then, we’ll probably stay in our bubble.

Kevin Phillips to replace him?
Philips is generally adored but would be a fool to think he can manage here. His hero status would vanish. On this board and off it.

Ross will be here. His pump fists up to the concourse after the Wimbledon game was him returning their applause.

Peterborough could have knocked him back a bit and I would guess owners may want their new man.....but not yet.

This current situation can't go on mate, I've supported Ross but we just don't look like a fired up promotion chasing team.

If nothing changes after the takeover and we lose to Accrington I'll have to go away on holiday for a few weeks.

Corsica I reckon, lovely in September

very good choice, leave the laptop at yem and enjoy

Nowt much marra, just that in these possibly better times for us I would hope that if we’re changing the manager it would be for someone with a bit of a pedigree in management/coaching and not a novice.

Do you have anyone in mind? I think even with money, we could still struggle to appoint a name if you will. I honestly wouldn't have a clue who to go after. I'd obviously like to see us be as ambitious as we can.
