Takeover Rumours

I couldn’t name anyone either, but it certainly wouldn’t be anyone who hadn’t managed before.

Lampard hadn't managed before, nor had Gerrard or Keane. Keegan galvanised the mags when he took over and was adored there, he had no managerial experience.

We'd have to pay crazy money to tempt any of them to manage us and then they still may not take the risk as it's such a step down for them.
Any prospective manager who thinks it's a step down to manage a club owned by fowa billionaires, with the facilities & loyal following (I don't like the word fanbase) we have self-evidently wouldn't be the right fit. But I suspect there are some out there who might see this as the chance of a lifetime. Who maybe share the owners' vision that we are a blank canvas upon which arl manner of wonderful pictures might be painted. I like Ross. I still think that, given more time, he can get it right & become a top manager. However, the piper carls the tune & as others have arlriddy said, a managerial appointment is the only significant marker the new lads can put down at this juncture, now the winda has closed.

Previous poster said his bro' in 'Merica said "Switch this shit off" when PL players were rolling around pretending to be injured. So maybe our overlords will instill a new-style, no-nonsense ethos requiring our players to be more like the rugby lads.... don't let them see you're hurt.... and the crowd at the SoL should chant "Pussy" or worse any time the opponents try this shithousery. I think we would be enthusiastic about that!
It might endear us to the Yanks and even spread through the game in general. Leading by example.

I think it’s got to start with the players tbh...over here, you grow up in the playgrounds and in other sports and you won’t get away with it...other kids would just embarrass the fuck out of you! I think the refs could help out also with cards more.

Why though mate? I think we need someone with passion, who can galvanise our fans, I don't think Hughto would get the pulses racing, plus he's an ex mag and was in charge when they stuffed us 5-1...
I think he's a good manager - he's done pretty well at the job's he's had. As for ex-Mag so was Allardyce, that's a big so what for me.

As if these people are flying back and forth across the Atlantic, buying a club and making absolutely no changes.

Ross hasn't been seen since Peterborough and we have injuries, players away on international duty and a match less than a week away.

He waved a white flag in that game as far as I'm concerned.

If he isn't replaced I'll believe it's not for the lack of trying.

However, we don't even have anyone anywhere near capable of being a caretaker .... unless we have someone in place there's nothing we can do.
Mate, I said this after the PO final, he should of been peddled after that game, they gifted us the lead and looked shell shocked, why did he not go for the jugular, we had the players to bang in 2 or 3 in quick succession and bury them in the first half, bloke is way out of his depth. I really wanted him to do well but he clearly hasn't a clue, and you're right, he waved a white flag at Peterborough, that was inexcusable.
