In that case I can't really explain mate.

Let's just say it's like replacing Carol Vorderman with Rachel Riley ...

... you'd want Rachel measured for a sexy new outfit before you presented her to the press and gave Carol her ticket.

There you are, that image should keep you thinking for a while

I likes this!!!!

Once Beckham's new team light the blue touch paper in The USA, and the Americans finally 'get soccer' the demand over there will go mental, and Dells boys will already be on board in England, they've picked exactly the right time to create a vehicle outside of the popular fanboy clubs, that ordinary Americans can jump aboard and support from afar. Netflix have already shown how far we can reach with the right coverage, now its time for the real powerful boys to take over and see how far they can take SAFC. There really are no limits, I can't wait.

See you hit the 1000. Well done.

Or is that old news :)

Anyway.....gonna be tomorrow isn't it..

Mondays have that announcement day feel about them.
If it is tomorrow, all well and good but from a strategic PoV it would be better if it were to be announced after the England fixture and the wash up on the test match...That would give all the shandy drinking southern press who would be invited, I guess, to clear their writing pads for the announcement of SAFC becoming the richest club in the world (potentially) and the out lining of the club and new owners plans for the future...Couple that with a new top, high profile manager and their staff (if there was a right time to do, it would be then).......It will be hot news headlines for weeks to come an hopefully beyond.:) That my wish anyway.

Will take a good few seasons to price the fans out I reckon. Last time we were there with over 40,000 average we got less than £10m in revenue. If everyone had to pay double and they didn't give out free tickets they'd still push no more than £20m at most.

The money from being in the Premier League, sponsorship etc dwarfs the total revenue for some clubs. Hopefully this is where they focus on making money, the football side and not from fleecing the fans by simply pricing many out if the ground gets full (even after an extension) plus they also make it more pf a fan thing around the game and again limit the pricing structure as they know they can make money elsewhere without the fans having to be stung

Do you think thats ever likely to happen? I know its possible but i just can’t see it myself

Would love to be proved wrong though

Was watching a bit of STID last night with Mrs Sauce (She relented when i wouldn't shut up about watching a little bit of it) and even she asked why, if they were so big, get involved with Sunderland in League 1? I said all about the netflix playing a part, the big club for next to nowt etc etc, but even in my head, i think if you have that much money, you could buy anybody really, and get instant success.

That's what i think these lads are in for. They don't want instant success with work that has already been done for them. These lot are used to building things up from scratch themselves. That's the only way i can see why they would do it, and then it makes more sense. I am waffling but i'm half speaking to myself, trying to convince myself of this happening and on what sort of scale

The way this thread has gone, when it's announced i will be more relieved, but the excitement will be when i hear of their plans. Donald and Charlie get total respect for getting these lads in. I'm still interested about Satori and his involvement as well tbh. I was hoping for him before this story broke.
I really hope their plans live up to expectations.I was hoping for a plan to get us back to the premiership in the next three years and have a side capable of competing in the top ten..with never a fear of religation!Thats my hope.if its going to be bigger than that well i wont say no .the idea of sunderland having the biggest arena in the north east with surrounding sport and leasure developments is music to my ears and will transform the area.

However if it turns out to be a damp squib of an investment by dell with the usual "aiming for the premiership" ,"working within fair play rules""sustainability" and "only spending what we make" I for one will be suffering from acute deafness from the largest fekking bubble being burst in the north east since the Krakatoa level eruption event of fake sheik up the road a few months ago.Surely for once SAFC will get what our great club and even greater fans deserve! on another note i think the jaun investment will be over!

If the USA focused on Football. They'd probably dominate.

I know there is a lot of evidence of sorts, but I've not let myself give in to this yet - when it's the lead story across the sports sections and done and dusted, then I'll raise hopes of a wonderful, rosy, trophy-laden future, until that happens I'll keep the euphoria bottled.
