Takeover Rumours

I know there is a lot of evidence of sorts, but I've not let myself give in to this yet - when it's the lead story across the sports sections and done and dusted, then I'll raise hopes of a wonderful, rosy, trophy-laden future, until that happens I'll keep the euphoria bottled.
Understandable

That's what the delay is, Rachel is having special red and white striped lingerie with matching stockings and suspenders made for her for the press conference, at which she will jump out of a giant football.
She's up the duff at the minute so they better get a move on :)

I’m doing this but it ain’t healthy. I just want the fucker done and dusted before something pops in my heed.

If it’s announced that they’re planning on making an assault on the prem top 4 I’ll be sending this to every f***ing mag on my contact list 🤣

I really hope their plans live up to expectations.I was hoping for a plan to get us back to the premiership in the next three years and have a side capable of competing in the top ten..with never a fear of religation!Thats my hope.if its going to be bigger than that well i wont say no .the idea of sunderland having the biggest arena in the north east with surrounding sport and leasure developments is music to my ears and will transform the area.

However if it turns out to be a damp squib of an investment by dell with the usual "aiming for the premiership" ,"working within fair play rules""sustainability" and "only spending what we make" I for one will be suffering from acute deafness from the largest fekking bubble being burst in the north east since the Krakatoa level eruption event of fake sheik up the road a few months ago.Surely for once SAFC will get what our great club and even greater fans deserve! on another note i think the jaun investment will be over!
I see your point but having a very affluent benefactor may bring short term success but what if they lose interest and leave us in deeper shite? We may not care if we’ve won the fa cup.

I think that it’s better for us to be sustainable for the longer term. A magnet for the best local talent, links with the community, a major local employer, a wider source of revenue. As well as a decent football team.

I hope this is the crux of it. If you want to create a legend, you need something to grow from small beginnings, otherwise it's all 'rich boys toys'. And if they take the whole City, county, region along with them on the way, so much the better. This is not some billionaires buying Man U or Liverpool. This is a plucky underdog taking on the world having been given a chance!
Exactly the way I see it. Take over Liverpool or Man Utd and win things, what have you achieved? Now if you take over a club languishing in League One and manage to turn them into a major force in football, then you’ve done something to be proud of. The journey itself will make STID a must watch for all football fans (immediate neighbours excluded obviously).
