Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

I definitely didn't have them sussed on day one. I was just glad Short had gone because he was seemingly willing to watch us implode, so like most fans, I thought we should give them a shot.

Nobody knows how these things will turn out, and being pessimistic about new owners and managers is a self-fulfilling prophecy at times. We have to give people a chance, it's not up to us to vet new owners or disbelieve everything they say before we've had a chance to understand what is going on.

Unfortunately, it has been a shitshow, but that's not the fault of any fan for not treating them like a pair of cowboys from day one.

You can argue about never being taken in by these lot, but ultimately - shady purchase or not - they could have got away with it if they'd appointed anyone with competence on the footballing side. We had a slam-dunk opportunity to get promoted that first year that was thrown away because of amateur recruitment.

Regardless of any financial skullduggery, I want them gone first and foremost because they've shown themselves to have 0 aptitude for anything related to matters on the pitch and won't have any confidence in us moving forward as a club until I know for certain that Donald has no input on any decisions made.

Nixon has got everything about the deal (and the previous failed deal) right as far as I can tell. If he is now saying the hold up is because Drefus wants more control or % and that he is opposing the idea of taking the EFL loan then that bodes well for his stewardship. Unless of course it means Del Boy and Rodney blow another good deal for the club.

I didn't fall for their words when they came, I said at the time it doesn't matter what they do or say away from the pitch. The ONLY thing we actually give a shit about is what happens on it. I said the way they were getting in touch with fans was commendable but it wouldn't matter if we didn't do it on the pitch.
Whilst I never 'fell for it' I didn't think they are chancers and will turn out to be the completely patronising, pretentious, lying f***ing arseholes that they have been and are. They need to live up to their promises and fuck off like they said they would if we didn't want them anymore and not f***ing one of us do.

Even if they'd kept Maja until the end of the season instead of seeing an opportunity for a quick buck they'd have achieved their aim of getting the club promoted for a massive profit whilst being lauded as heroes. The depths of their incompetence is nothing short of staggering.

The most depressing thing is that they both think they have done a good job and that we are all thick for not seeing it.
