I’m not foaming at the thought of Johnson, however it’s league 1. After we fucked up Poyet he’s potentially best of a bad bunch.
The January window is key for me as we need investment, salary cap or not. Johnson’s first task is to get a tune out of Grigg, if he can do that we’ve got a goal threat again. Needs 4 wins out the next 5 games like, otherwise fans will be wanting his head.
What’s the massive restructure? The SpD? Or is there more to come?

I’m hoping for an attacking 433. Grigg in the middle with Embleton and McGeady either side. For me Leadbitter needs to play as a sitting midfielder and I really want to see Neil in. So that’s 1 spot left for O’Nien, Maguire or Gooch. Johnson isn’t gonna please everybody but if he sticks with this defensive setup playing none of the youth we’ve got then just f***ing pointless.

It's very interesting to say the least! I'm very cautious given the empty promises we've heard before but if implemented the things that are talk about in player development, a scientific approach to analytics and fitness and finally player recruitment at all levels sounds exactly what we've been crying out for!
Very interesting that the Head Coach is seen as one part of the much bigger picture, perhaps this highlights why so many have failed before in the poor set up and lack of structure at the club.

i completely get everything you are saying however... whilst they are still at the club in some capacity, particularly now as we are lead to believe Rodwell (their man) has recruited Speakman, supporters will be sceptical and will struggle to get behind this ‘new era’.
‘Rightly’ or ‘wrongly’ I can understand the negativity, bottom line is they need to fuck off before the trust is restored.
Any appointment made that is tarnished with the Donald/Methvan brush will be met with negativity.

Despite L'Équipe stating two weeks ago that K L-D and JS had got a shortlist together? Rodwell has had bugger all to do with this, nor have SD or CM.

You have missed my point completely mate. As I said whilst Donald/Methvan/Rodwell are still at the club people will be sceptical. Surely that is not too hard to understand given what has a proceeded today?

They can be sceptical if they like, but that doesn't make them right. I'll agree that a clean break would be for the best, but that's not to be.

I get that but for many, anything and I mean ANYTHING associated to MSD will not be accepted until success on the pitch is seen. I don’t blame fans for thinking this and no supporter should be dug out for having this view.
