It wouldn't be a shock if this was true. The takeover has been taking forever and maybe a decision has been made that Parkinson had to go immediately to save this season, regardless of whether the takeover goes ahead or not.

It could also be that Methven is going to be heavily involve post-takeover and would be involved in this decision anyway.

We're all looking at this sacking as proof that the takeover is near completion, but the reality is we're all just speculating.

Dismissal of negatives or contradictory articles in the press as a Mag agenda is ridiculous paranoia. Obviously we hope they aren’t right but haway lads. Have we not learned to keep our powder dry a bit and be a bit cautious?

I think people are being cautious for the most part, but some of the stories/tweets are reminiscent of the worst wums on here. Taking what is a positive story (Parky being sacked and a takeover on the horizon) by the metric of pretty much every SAFC fan and focussing on only the negative aspects is just Mag shit-stirring. The "based on the press rlease" but about Rodwell overseeing the manager search just because it has said to have begun is deliberately obtuse.

definitely. No chance I’m getting carried away this time. However I don’t think their wild speculation is any good. Just stating stuff without anything to really back it up apart from “sources tell us”. The lads on 606 have consistently been right so I’d lean towards listening to them over journos at the moment.

however they should be writing and asking the right questions surrounding structure, ethos and how they are going to achieve their long term goals and implement their philosophy. Those are the questions that should of been asked the last time and all the way through to this point but never were. It was all pink seats and shite.

Spot on. Less of the idle speculation and stirring. More direct and difficult questions for all concerned when the time comes.

The thought of these two charletons still involved in the club means my enthusiasm for this so called takeover is very low. We need a clean slate with these two consigned to history. We can appoint another League One plodder of a manager but the outcome will be the same.

IIRC you were stating a while back that nowt was happening. Have you just now switched to saying even if it happens you don't like the way it's happening based on some spurious tweets based on nowt?

Seems like you're looking for negatives. Wait and see what happens.
