Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Well the delay in the deal is quiet clearly in regards to the share distribution so SD is standing firm on it. Again cause he realises the value of them further down the line. Anyone thinking any takeover be it KLD or anyone will see SD sell all his shares are going to be very disappointed. The new rumour today is he is prepared to go down to 10% thats as low as he will ever go imo

maybe any buyers should walk away then and let him panic, if he isn’t already

Maybe the buyer sees the ridiculously low price to buy a club the size of Sunderland and thinks "i cannot let this opportunity pass, i need to strike now"

If the manager is to be believed other parties are interested
It’s Kildare I reckon

You f***ing cheeky bastard 🤣

What do you think? 🤣
If it’s as low as he’ll go then he shouldn’t get a deal and he’s going to lose a lot of money in the short term. After that he’ll owe another few million in season ticket refunds because everyone will be queuing up to hit him in the pocket.

The club are in a mess because of the salary cap. I know they’ve brought in speakman and talked about a change in direction but the truth is that they have no choice whilst they’re in and around league one because they’re going to struggle to retain anyone that’s out of contract if they fail to go up. Under Donald there’s no chance the club gets close to the premier league and I don’t believe the value of the club will improve greatly on promotion to the championship.

Long story short. Donald is going to lose more money the longer he hangs on. He’s going to have to go down from 10% because he can’t afford to keep the football club and he’s going to have to start selling off other club assets.

It’s not ridiculously low unless they get back to the premier league. Pre pandemic Hull in league one were valued at 15 million. We’re worth nowhere near 40 million.

Supporting

If their tenure ends in 30 yrs time with us still in this division we won’t be able to judge until then?.....Bollocks.
If someone takes on a pile of shit to sort out and isn’t up to the task then they get off Scot free?.....Bollocks.
If someone takes on a pile of shit unaware of the size of the pile of shit they get off Scot free?........Bollocks.

It wasn’t their fault we were in L1 the first season. Every season after spent in L1 is their fault.

:) I dont dent their mistakes but it takes a while to turn this club around. Not sure this Dreyfus thing is 100pc ....how can it be a done deal but then they havent agreed shares..

He will never sell all his shares till we are in the Premiership. Its worth tens of millions pounds more to him. He is not losing his money here he has used the FPP loan by the sound of it to cover the last few months and pretty soon it will be somebody else's problem. SD will of said to KLD you get the club for this price but i keep a percentage. KLD has probs thought for that price and that percentage you have a deal.

Lets hope so anyway. It certainly sounds like its coming to an end finally

Have you noticed all the crew that were piping off Donald and Methven are now throwing Donald under the bus, and trying to make out that Methven is misunderstood and just wants to put things right 😂😂

It’s f***ing embarrassing crack and I hope it’s not the club putting them up to it,

“Tell them Charley is sound lads and he’ll get the pints in at the Tavern”

it isn’t a ridiculously low price for a league 1 club that has been run down as much as possible, without fans income, under a salary cap and with a cat 1 academy to rebuild after current lot destroyed it.

The value is if / when we get back to premier league, thats a hell of a risk at SD’s price considering the money likely needed to get there.

Long term and best case scenario it is though and thats the way they will be thinking in these negotiations. Well SD defo will. There is a reason the delay is to do with the share distribution and this scenario is it imo

The valuation SD has seems to be miles away from real value though. Football / finance experts have said as much, and its only got worse since covid. Its worth what someone will pay, i’d be amazed if thats anywhere near his valuation

Does any of that surprise you though with him? Anyway i have said me bit dont wanna rant on 🤣🤣. Just cannot ever see any takeover here where SD sells all his shares
