You're right that he knows how much the shares would be worth in the prem, and that he won't want to sell all his shares beforehand. Potential buyers will also know that though, and they'll get a good look at the books during the takeover process. If they decide that they could just wait it out a few months while Donald runs out of money then he'd be in a pretty bad position. After all, if 10% could eventually be worth £20m, it's worth turning the screw and getting all the shares now. Donald will definitely want to cling on, and it's quite possible he'll be allowed to if the buyer really wants to get the deal done, but it's not completely within his control. At some point, if he's too stubborn about wanting to keep shares and a buyer doesn't agree, he'll have his hand forced by finances.

If it means the deal gets done now and SD keeps 10% i would be fine with that like. The positives of KLD being onboard now far outweigh the negatives of SD still being here with 10%

I think this. The other ITKs fell on their swords a while back but still need that validation..nice blokes mins and always want the best for the fellow fan.

There is no deal will ever happen here where SD does not keep a percentage. All we can hope for is he keeps as low as possible

Yeah but KLD doesn’t need to buy the football club at all. There are other clubs he can buy.

Stewart Donald needs to sell the football club, I can’t see what leverage he even has to retain a % and I don’t understand why KLD would put any money in to let a silent partner (who he doesn’t even know and who isn’t putting money in) make a killing down there line

At least he actually had the bottle to break the Poyet 'news' on here before any of the media got hold of it without doing it in a cryptic way. One of the very few who I think genuinely are ITK on here.
