Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

I've lived in Bristol for 20 years, and City get the same attention here as we do in the NE. His sets up his teams to attack. They don't shut up shop. So they score plenty, but concede plenty as well.
TBF converting half the draws into wins while losing the rest would have vastly improved our points totals the last two seasons.

"GiVe HiM a ChAnCe MaN!!"

Like every other dogshit player and manager we know we're getting, then (who all turn out to be shit)

Trying to make him sound like a good appointment. Another shit manager on the unemployed list.
The problem is that past success is no guarantee of future success. If that were the case, it would be oats so simple...Similarly, past failure. In football as in life (moreso in football), pure luck plays a much underestimated part, in my opinion. But not many like to accept that....

Names don't necessarily work, fans favourites rarely do. What we need is a root and branch overhaul of the playing side. People to come in and change the whole structure of the organisation from top to bottom. If its Johnson, then so be it. He took over a struggling Bristol City side and transformed them into a well oiled championship cog.

Further more if gains promotion, stabilises us in the championship, with attributes relevant to our side, area, we eventually lose that tag of manager merry go round. The next thing then would be to, in an ideal scenario, push on some more.

OH grumps I feel sick, nothing will gild this lilley. So in a year where promotion is desperate,we appoint someone who has never been promoted

Well, we've not exactly performed in a stellar manner since leaving the PL with a series of managers who have. If this board had been here in 1987, I wonder what kind of welcome Denis Smith would have got. Let's be straight - Johnson would not have been my first choice, but I'm not going to be pissing the bed if it is him.
