Takeover in trouble

he got people threatening to har his children in january. he got called a peniless chancer almost frm day one. he had people believing the daily f***ing mail.

it could have done if dealing with council pen pushers aye..or ot could have been done ages ago and announced now for positivty while people are whining and they want them to shut the fuck up for a bit?

So the coincidence of the timing hasn't changed then which was what I said. It could take a day to arrange or a month. It was still released a day after the rumour of the takeover falling through. It's a little like everything was on hold/people were too busy and now it isn't and preparation for the season can now start.

You live and work in kildare aye?
no. live and work in london-norn and grew up in kildare-so have met one or two of the drumaville guys-one in particaulr my family would have had deadlings with.

it wouldnt take a day to arrange..councils arent that quick. and i very much doubt you could ring tje dutch guys this morning and miraclously find they can confirm by now they can do the game-it wouldnt ever work like that..they would have a sports science based scheule dictating when they wanted to play games.
safc would have to fit within that, then get the council to agree. local authority pen pushers dont agree things quickly.
so this will have been worked on for a while-if the new owners are so into micro management they wouldnt have allowed a pre season game to be arranged we are well shot of them-they are freaks.

It's an example. I'm not sure you know what coincidence means.

I don't think anyone's happy Steve.

Let's look at it from a slightly different angle which some on here won'y=t agree with.

When SD and co took over we were already in this division. The best they could hope for was our equal worst finish in history. They've reduced expenditure which will have made us not only more sustainable but potentialy more attractive to new investors. The current owners have fron day dot said that they would require additional investment if we were promoted so i see nothing wrong with them looking for it.

We don't have a god given right to be in the top league and spending doesn't guarantee success so we do need to suck it up and accept that we are where we are for a number of reasons. We now need to build and improve on what we have.

Over the last few days i've seen people say that those who are accepting have "clapped us to league 1", some would argue that the booing of players has contributed to us being in league 1.

Whatever the reasons, we are all supporters and want the best for the club. How many seasons did Sheffield Utd spend down here and they are now back where i'm sure their fans believe they belong.

Now these are the posts I can get on board with. Sensible, well-thought out and balanced.

fidnt just lurked-had an account as paddymackem..might have posted once or twice..but im not even sure it was that much..there are safc fans who dont get on here you know.

Fully aware of that...

Do you not find it strange that you didn’t post when Quinn & Drumaville were here, your only reason for supporting Sunderland, yet for some inexplicable reason you’ve been a man obsessed since last summer with everything to do with finances and the academy...

Not to mention the inconsistencies in your stories since arriving, and the deliberate change in posting style.

I don’t buy it

which inconsistencies?

Didnt realise summer was over like. Wimbledon starts today man.

Thought it was an excellent post. People are thinking that because we arent shouting from the rooftops at us not going up last year means we've given up.

It was an excellent post. The Rat either couldn't be bothered to read past the 'mag' comment or isn't bright enough to understand what was said or the meaning behind it. I also love the irony surrounding his 'really poor post' comment

He is flipping tiresome.

Scepticalism: Noun - The belief that festers inside some people that all football club owners are chancers out to make a buck. Persons exhibiting these traits believe that they have the rightto dictate how a club is run with someone else's money.
Surveys have shown that this trait is often found upon the banks of the Tyne.
:lol::lol::lol: happy clapper ;):lol:

the challenge is..every club that to the championship play offss this season lost at least £20m and of course three of them didnt get promoted..so apart from whatever it wi

have the pther cubs signed players that leave then overall better off?
i am getting anxious about signings..but not yet.
People made up stuff about a takeover.
The club is in a healthy financial positon..but as a business i hasnt made a profit ina decade-will have to incur huge losses before it can achieve potential, which is premier legaue, and the last time we were in the premier league we didnt make a profit..
so as a buisness its a horrible one.
I mean newcastle is a worse investment, and so are many champinship clubs..but safc is not a good investment.

The club is debt free and according to the club is about to turn a profit. We are also, according to the club, ahead of where we were this time last year for season ticket sales. The owners said they’d been battling off interest and enquiries from potential investors all season as they didn’t think they were the right options. Now either you don’t know what you’re talking about by saying we aren’t attractive to potential investors or the owners are telling porkies. Which is it?

Edit: it could of course be both

Another new director appointed by Donald...

Donald on our January budget

Know a lot about Stewart saying you’d only been back supporting the club for a week...
SD's ongoing link to the club.

Any questions for Charlie?

That’s all from a 5 min scan of your first week on here. Back in the office now otherwise I’d have had a field day ;)

the club is not about to make a profit-its targeting an operating profit-not the same thing as an actual profit-and thats a year from now.
people ringn up offering to buy isnt the same as loads of interest-people ring up all the time to clubs and then it emerges they dont have the money.
i didnt say we arent attractve to investors,,,i said we are a relatively poor investment, compared with some alternatives.
Football generally is, the pool of peope who could and would own a club of safcs size can own one already in a higher divosn if they want.

That isn’t what has been said by Donald or some of the posters on here who had a right go at me and others for saying we hadn’t yet shown a profit

charlie is the one on the pod-said an operating profit of £5.2m.
SD interjected perhaps in jest-and said "unless we sign a player for a lot of money"..so they are targeting the profit number pre-tranbsfers-just as last year they spoke of losses atoperationla level.

So it took a month?
Funnily enough Chelsea have arranged 2 friendlies in Ireland for next week. Bohemians and St. Patrick's Athletic. Both clubs were only contacted by Chelsea last week. Chelsea said they wanted a game on the 10th and 13th. Both clubs had those dates free. It was that easy! Clubs are crying out for friendlies. It's as simple as asking clubs and setting dates.
