Swindon Town 25/26 thread

Cracking win and some decent goals.
Such an open and unpredictable league.

Doing exactly what you need to do in such a division; beat those at the lower end then take points off your top end rivals. That's another of the potential banana skin games out of the way 👍.

Biggies @ MK on 26th, Salford FA Cup 10th.

Brizzle Rovers may be playing the Mighty Monkey Hangers next Season at this rate.... Always enjoyed a lovely Pint of Cider or 3 down there.

Well done the Robins....Keep it going...Shame for Darrell though, ex Poolie.

7 match suspension

You get the drill here with Swindon.
Always another shit show around the corner.

I have been aware of this, just incredible that the incident took place in August and now here we are with our influential captain now out for 7 games.
He pleaded guilty yet club stating his innocence??

What a basketcase of a football club.

We were second best today yet still won.
Had a penalty against us and the ref consulted the linesman and changed his mind. Ironically we won from a penalty.
We were awful and lucky, a good sign playing bad and winning.

MKDons away Boxing Day and don’t fancy our chances. Would take a point.

Disappointing result for you today, I've just seen Holloway's post-match and he's put it into perspective: won by that elusive single goal but you could (should) have got something out of it if chances had been taken. You're still very much in it with a long way to go as the division's top end tightens - as long as it's in your own hands you won't go too far wrong so long as a cup run doesn't get in the way.

Merry Christmas by the way 🍻
Narrow 1-0 loss with no cutting edge without Drinan suspended.
At least back to face Cheltenham away Monday, our bogey side.

Decent enough away following today but we looked average although missed chances.

Tight at the top with no real quality in the league.
Unfortunately it's goals that get something from games but as I posted you're right in it so long as your squad & their resolve doesn't weaken. Don't waste too much time thinking about bogey sides just get on with the job.

Merry Christmas to you as well.
Decent following of 1800 although I don’t agree with Holloway entirely. Without Drinan we looked toothless upfront.
Need to get Tabor back out on loan and return Prince back to Southampton. Honestly think Billy Bodin is finished.

In some respects hoping January is quiet.

Don't mind this Swindon guy at all. Seems a top lad. However, contrast this to those weird mag twats who post on here. Complete weirdos. Leonard Osborne, mag in peace etc. They must be mentally challenged posting on here.

Obviously Drinan was going to be a massive miss but these things happen in football so it's now down to IH to work out another way of scoring a goal so your season doesn't go flat (which it won't). You were never going to blow MK away despite what had happened against them a few games ago down there. Time for an IH to look closer at his options despite still being in a good position.

Needs to ship out or drop down the pecking order the dead wood we have.
Will he be backed in January remains the key.
Losing our Captain for 7 games is hurting us.
Noticed Steve Cotterill in charge of them now and done the last few games

They are in form and we never do well down there.
Another tough game.
Only given 900 tickets absolute shite from them. Sold out in the first day and sadly couldn’t get my lad one.

Losing any key player will hurt when a team is in the promotion hunt & Swindon seem to be losing more than their fair share, the finance holders should release some money if their hopes/intentions are to gain promotion (which comes with making money so either way if IH needs a few quid the owner(s) would be very silly not to agree) then it's down to a manager using it wisely, These are the times a manager earns his salary & dictates how long he'll be in-post. The owners will have one eye on the cup (£).

It's good to be in Swindon's position but it's now a squad balancing-act to dictate where you are as the season's business end approaches.

Surely as a parent the bairn gets the ticket you have then?

We’ve sold out at Bromley as well. Luckily got him one.
