Power wanders around the pitch as if he’s Gerrard in his prime trying 40 yard passes and long range shots. The problem is, the vast majority of his passes are overhit or easily cut out and his shooting is shite. He can’t tackle either. He only ever seems to be involved when things are going well.
He also takes the ball off Hulme, slows down the going forward(wont call it an attack) and then plays a ball square or backwards.

Giving Grigg a run not against that. A few square pegs in round holes! But that team should get three points if they play with a bit of bravery in possession. Feeling confident!!

Decision to rest Embleton is a good one, based on logic.

Then he starts Willis who carried his leg through midweek and includes Burge on the bench despite an ankle injury?

At least be consistent with your bollocks Parky.

Neil was the best passer of the ball in midweek and can’t make the squad? Ridiculous.

This flat middle three with leadbitter holding and a back 3 behind them is bonkers. Works (or worked) for sheffield united because the had their centre backs bombing on the overlap regularly. We occasionally see that from willis but thats it. It just means we've got 4 players stopping back at all times and no creativity whatsoever elsewhere in the middle.

The only way this could ever work is if he was willing to play a more attacking / creative player either side of leadbitter, hence why he's tried maguire and gooch there in recent weeks. He needs to give a chance to Neil and Embleton for this ever to work, but he wont.

Go back to 3-4-3 and get maguire and gooch in their proper positions or switch to 4 at the back.

If burge had a knock and still has him on the bench ahead of young patterson whos been impressing its another stupid decision. Also willis clearly not himself so player sanderson ffs

He wont be here long anyway he doesnt help himself
I agree. Resting Embleton because they don’t want to push him but got Willis playing with knee tendinitis and injections in his knee even though he’s struggling and Sanderson is on the bench. Then he has an injured keeper on the bench too.

Parky honestly baffles me, no consistency.

When we had that good run in January and February we had a settled side. He’s chopping and changing personnel and formation every week now. Shades of Jack Ross.

The bloke doesn’t have a clue and is hoping he stumbles upon something that works. Wish he’d fuck off.
