*~*~* Sunderland v Hull match thread *~*~*

Didn't Ross take you to a cup final that you lost on pens and a play off final you lost with the last kick of the game?

Yes. But we had a squad in L1 that was a bit unbalanced, but should probably have pissed it. He absolutely shit it over the last three months. Had no idea what to do without McGeady, so played him for about six weeks when he shouldn't have played.

I’m not blaming anybody, you are. I’ve listed loads of actions and time between the header and the goal which could stopped the goal yet you seem to be focussing on oniens header
Because that’s the start of the problems. He boots that in the stands and none of the preceding events occur

That’s was the worst game of football I’ve suffered through for a long time.

We were shite, they were shit but got a deflected goal.

Flat and lack creativity all over the pitch.

Mentioned when the line up were announced that Seelt wouldn’t be able to exploit the space on the right left by Pritchard and for 70mins we played without a right side.

The quality of ball we put into the box in open play is diabolical. And the vast majority of our set pieces his the first man.

Very poor set up, very poor game, very poor SAFC performance and very poor game management from Speakmans brains trust.
I think that about sums it up!

Give over man!
Played great football at times, got us into the playoffs in our first season in the Championship playing for half the season with no striker.
It went wrong because he wasn't getting the playing staff he needed.

He gave us some great times.
Had a relegation standard home record. Couldn’t defend. Conceded one of the highest amounts of goals. Was bailed out by Diallo, Roberts and Clarke doing their thing independent of his coaching

Maybe until January, but after then your best player was McGeady and your striker was Will Grigg
Mcgeady was the best player in the division by some distance. Grigg was in and out let's remember he'd regularly scored 25+ at that level. We also had Wyke who shared game time with him and scored 30+ a couple of years later.

We had several players who left and are playing Championship afterwards or still now.
It was a massive choke by Ross, who was absolutely hopeless and his career shows it.

Can we cut out these shite little diagonal / chipped passes into the box that usually come from Ekwah and Neil? Absolute shite and you are never going to score from that sort of ball.

And Ekwah wants dropping for those two Max Power esque shots in the second half
