Great set of lads, Steve the lead singer is one of the nicest blokes you could meet. Great band as well, I usually go balls out whenever they play suspicious minds.
Alas I'm working all weekend so will probably have to give this one a miss

Steve's a top lad ,his son is a actor and was in the 1917 film ,just for a few seconds near the end but still you have to start somewhere ,remember a canny few years ago when they were Small Weller they played Bud Biggalows and wore black suits/ white shirt /black tie ala in the city vibe, it was chocka and they went down a storm.I can't make this sat ..gutted..

Live at the Museum Vaults this afternoon doors open at 14.00.

Manchester band Vitriolic Response supported by War all the Time and Brothers of Destruction.

Free event at the Fire Station on Saturday night. BBC radio 3 new music show.
Thanks for the heads up.
Have got tickets for this. Anyone know what artists/type of music that will be performing ?
Coming over to my first gig in Sunderland (booked Cabbage at the Peacock in December last year, but was cancelled), as have just moved to North Tyneside.
Any suggestions for good real ale pubs (apart from the Peacock, which is excellent) and reasonably-priced food, nearby ?
Thanks...

Still plenty of decent seats available for This Is The Kit at the Fire Station tomorrow night. They are wonderful. Played the Albert Hall last night.

This Is The Kit is the musical project of Paris-based, British musician Kate Stables along with Rozi Plain (bass/vocals), Neil Smith (guitar), Jesse D Vernon (guitar/keyboards) and Jamie Whitby-Coles (drum/vox). Listen as Kate rips forward with her hypnotic twang pattern and a voice of rare, unaffected beauty.

The Brit Pack are playing the Greens tonight I'm sure it will be a quality gig from a quality band.

Marvellous! Really good, enthusiastic atmosphere as well, even though I suspect many were new to the band.

Cracking support as well from a couple of French blokes.

Sounds like a cracking night.

In case you didn't know about this.

Some challenging stuff there, mind! Need to do a bit more research.

Fire Station really seems to be getting things right, the Maccabees lad, China Crisis and Gary Delaney all pretty much sold out in the next fortnight.

Not the best time for the Engine Room to be shut! Dun Cow was heaving last night until the Empire crowd moved off.

Was worried the Ian McNabb gig at the Peacock might be cancelled as his mam just died, but he's planning to start gigging again at the start of April.
