Sunday is our biggest game for decades

Last time we were in Europe was 1974.

Sunday is a bigger game than any of the playoffs. This is it. After a decade of despair we are on the verge of European football after only one season back.

I still can't quite believe this is where we are. I can't even talk about it without getting emotional. I'm so proud of this team. I f***ing just love them!
Big game but nowhere near the biggest even in the last twelve months there was a bigger one at Wembley

Securing prem status absolutely massive, so last years’s PO final bigger, but now we’ve secured prem status again, the chance to qualify for Europe, something most of us never thought we’d see given where we’ve come from is surreal.

Not sure why people playing it down, this could be generational.

Massive massive game

It would be great to get into Europe but the playoffs were definitely bigger games for the Club. I'm old enough to be at the 1973 final and see some cup winners cup matches. But I've never been to an away European match which I quite fancy

Be a good game to win, but no real drama if we lose. We've had 3 or 4 games that were bordering existential this decade.
It the existential bit that sways me. That L1 PO final felt existential. This feels like a massive bonus and a big step towards the future but that Wycombe game man. Back from the brink.

Play-offs was much bigger IMO, winning that game transformed the club. No guarantee we'd have gone up this season either, who knows where we'd be.

Europe would be a huge bonus but I wouldn't be deflated it didn't happen. It's not in our hands remember, we could win on Sunday and still not make it.

main risk is the carnival atmos of a packed SoL inspires the Chelsea ragamuffins to raise their game . This match won't be easy.

It’s a wonderful opportunity and we’ve earned the right to have it. But it’s so far from being the most important game. Playing in Europe will be a statement thing but the reality of how poor the conference league is and how it will disrupt the season next year would kick in early I suspect particularly for fans hating league games not being played on a Saturday. But it’s something we must do and embrace if we achieve it as it’s progress.

Its a nice end to the season but its not even our biggest game in the last year.

Money wise the conference league generates very little revenue but it winning it opens the Europa league. Even the Europa league its around 20 million but gives teams who might be able to get into the champions league.

I just want us to finish as high as possible.

Is this the first time we have ever went into the final game of the season with even the possibility of qualifying for Europe, even if we need results to go our way?

I am not including having to overturn a 10 goal difference advantage to qualify for the Intertoto ahead of Villa in this, assuming they qualified on league position rather than some wanky fair play award

It’s a massive game. Last game of the season in the sunshine, bank holiday weekend against Chelsea with the chance of Europa League or Conference up for grabs.

All the other last game drama’s in my lifetime have been either to avoid relegation, win the championship, make the playoffs etc.

This is unique. I can’t wait !
This, absolutely can’t wait, and if we don’t achieve it, no big deal

It’s a massive match, but it’s still been an unqualified success of a season if we don’t win.

Not so of either of the two recent promotion clinchers.
