Stumbling upon film sets.

Beach at maspalomas, Gran Canaria, me, our lass and the kids aged about 12, having accidentally walked through a nudist beach, which wasn’t particularly pleasantly populated, then tried to take a short cut through the dunes and stumbled across a porn shoot. I don’t think the bairns scarred, although he was in tears at Wembley the other week, so that could be as a result of me exposing him to filth at that early age. Or it could just be that being a mlf makes you soft as shite.

Stummbled across a scene from Vera being shot in a grotty cafe in Hebburn. I only knew thats what it was as I asked a lady nearby and she told me before adding "mind if they actually eat anything from in there, there will be a death!"

Loads in London

Biggest one was probaly the original Mission Impossible on a Saturday night in Liverpool street.

We we're overlooking the filming so watched quite a bit out the window

Lad I worked with went down to have a look and had shorts on and carryinglooked rather casual, a walkie talkie ndin his hand and his work pass round his neck. Went right on set unchallenged and came back with Tom Cruises autograph scribbled on a receipt he had in his pocket

In Prague 20 odd years ago we went to have a look at the castle and noticed there were quite a few men with rifles up on the roof. There was then a scuffle among the crowd in front of us with security men and police piling into this bloke who was shouting and struggling like mad.

Then they all stopped and relaxed and we realised they were making a film.
It was a Dolph Lundgren type political thriller but what film it was we never found out.

They should put signs up so they don't alarm the tourists.

Never met any of the actors but they were filming The Long Kiss Goodnight while I was on holiday in Toronto one year. I was just walking down a side street and there it was.

A scene from "Flutter", this ~

Flutter (2011) - IMDb

was filmed outside my old place of work in North Shields.
Watching them filming the scene over and over again was so boring we went back to work rather than staring out the window.

Anyone found any interesting ones? Came across two in an hour when down in London for the play offs. "Gangs of London" was filming on the green opposite the Cricketers pub just outside Kew Gardens and Silent Witness were filming around the lake in Gunnersby Park.

We wandered around Full Metal Jacket in the 80's. Looked like it had been abandoned a year of so earlier, didn't have a clue until I saw the filum later.

The filming of the Worlds End in welwyn garden city.

Got onto the red carpet for Iron Man III in Leicester Square, was suited up and met a friend around the corner for a couple of pints, wanted to get to the Yates in the corner. Walked up to a security guard, asked how to get over there and pointed at the Pub, he asked if I had any ID so showed him my work pass - let’s me through and next thing I’m on the red carpet with Don Cheadle just in front of me.

That’s when I got chucked out by another security guard who realised I wasn’t meant to be there.

Was in Euston station at 3:00am after coming back from my hols and missing the last train when they fimed an episode of the bill there. Taff in full riot gear.

Was also in Grand central at night when they filmed Kapax there. I'm in the background in that scene so I'm now mega famous.

My favorite though was whilst on a pub crawl with my mate in London - we stumbled into the filming of a porno series in a taxi. Lots of lasses in a taxi iirc. Walked right behind them so technically I'm also in a porno.

I was in the series 'Harry' as an extra. There's very little of it online and the episode I 'starred' in isn't anywhere that I can find.

It wasn't hard, I just had to pretend I was in a party, drinking and smoking tabs. I found that quite easy at 19 years old.

I walked past a café in High Street West while they were filming Get Carter inside, in fact I turned around and walked past again to try and get on camera. It didn't work. My flat in Roehampton was once shown on The Bill, some scally was being chased by some cops and he ran up the steps in front of my flat.

Almost forgot, I was working in an old derelict theatre in Coventry Street I think it was, just around the corner from Leicester Square when Meaty turned up one day and made this video. Me and a couple of workmates were watching from the hole in the wall where the film projector would have poked out from.
