A few eastern european nutcases wouldnt go amiss eitherAs daft as that sounds, I often think this club suits Scots and Scandinavians. It shouldn't be underestimated.

The weathers shit in the NE. I’ve always said we should be looking for Scandies n Sweaties.Does the L'Equipe piece read as the four man shortlist has English and Scandanvians on it or that the consortium have set out to recruit an Englishman or Scandanavian? I assume the former, I can't see why they'd restrict themselves in this way otherwise.
I was banging on about Rangnik nigh on 15 years ago on here.
If we were in the PL I’d go for Julian Stephan, in fact I’d still try. He can only laugh his bollocks off at us.
As long as the HangerOn brothers are silent partners I’d try for Poyet with MacLaren dofing and Marwood ceowing. They both live local iirc and I’d imagine would welcome a project that’ll take them to retirement.
Cheers, i was racking my brains thinking when Van Der Saar was here!
Last 4 candidates are English and Scandanavian the way i read it.Does the L'Equipe piece read as the four man shortlist has English and Scandanvians on it or that the consortium have set out to recruit an Englishman or Scandanavian? FPP allegedly approached Marwood as he was recommended to them and he wasnt even interested in speaking to them. Didnt return the call. Again.. allegedlyI was banging on about Rangnik nigh on 15 years ago on here.

Laudrup?L'Equipe saying it's down to 4 candidates to get the role as sporting director at the club. New people have been interviewing and the new sporting director will be English or Scandanavian. My guess is Steve Mclaren will rock up here.
...aint bad..Got 2/3 of his names right
Laudrup?
Another good shout mate but can't see him coming to a league 1 club.Laudrup?

Depends on ambition I guessAnother good shout mate but can't see him coming to a league 1 club.

Yeah true. Rather have a plan in place for the long term rather than a quick fix promotion and have no plan at all in The Championship. This is why Parkinson needs to go, if he does get us up we would need a new manager anyway. May aswel cut ties asap.Depends on ambition I guess
Depends on how you look at it.The weathers shit in the NE. I’ve always said we should be looking for Scandies n Sweaties.
Cortese has apparently moved back to Hampshire recently, according to his Wiki.
We're not a typical L1 club though. And this is clearly an ambitious young man coming in.
[/QUOTE Potential is there but it's becoming less and less attractive every passing season.
