Unfortunately I think Speakman will still be here to oversee the summer.
From his recent comments and his failures in recent transfer windows, I'm very concerned that he isn't going to address the lack of established strikers, defensive midfielders, leadership or experience.
Speakman is either arrogant or stubborn, or a combination of both. All he cares about is buying individual players that he thinks can punt for a profit. As a sporting director that is only part of his role. Its his responsibility to ensure we are competitive and give the head coach the best chance to win games. He handicaps them. Window after window passes without him addressing the glaring weaknesses in the squad.
