For me, Gareth Southgate will act stubborn and play him against Italy, even though we need to be strengthening the power of the squad in preparation for the finals, which won't include Henderson, whose playing in Saudi will further weaken his skill set.

Bellend for what? a bit hypocritical or questionable morals I’ll accept, but the lad loves Sunderland, has had a great career, done plenty for great causes and never been in an ounce of bother on and off the pitch. He’s been a model pro! so tell me how the f@ck he’s a bellend or cretin?

Was just f***ing stupid the way he addressed that question. I understand he has to defend his player. But don't dodge the bullet and treat people like muppets. He is getting booed because he is a f***ing hypocrite and people are rightly annoyed by his stance. Have less respect for Southgate now. Don't play dumb and gloss.
 
He plays in the equivalent to League Two, and Maguire doesn't play for his club either.
Southgate will continue to pick both because he wants this Club England mentality.
Be interesting how it looks in 6 months for both
