It's abhorrent that people are discriminated against or punished for their sexual proclivities, wherever in the world it happens. It's disgusting when an already very wealthy flag bearer for the gay community then shits on his support for them purely for monetary greed and he deserves whatever he gets from football fans.
They know EXACTLY what he's done and why and they let him know.

Adam Johnson was a popular player too once upon a time.

People’s behaviour change their reputation and standing.

Henderson is a hypocrite - no ifs or buts.

His behaviour in taking the Saudi £££ is akin to a prominent black player in the premier league being a vocal advocate of the kick racism out of football campaign, regularly taking the knee then when offered obscene wealth to do so turning out for Klu Klux Klan United

I kinda get Southgate’s stance after Scotland match and Harry Maguire. Defending a player who is getting loads of grief when he has been largely very good for England. I can see part of his defence of Henderson but to suggest he doesn’t know why he was getting booed is nothing short of laughable. Henderson sold his halo flipping the finger to a lot of people who he made himself a saint to. It’s like it’s a taboo to criticise that shit league. You’d think they are pumping money into the UK.

Hopefully those players will take into consideration the fact that they will be despised and rejected in their own countries. No guest appearances, newspaper interviews or TV adverts, because no self respecting person will want to be associated with them. Enjoy the money but remember it comes along with a fair amount of personal shame and public contempt.
Southgate said, in his interview broadcast on 5LIVE this morning that he "couldn't understand" and the booing fans were doing no good for the player and no good for the team.
Perhaps they were booing for the good of the game?

Personally I think he’ll remain in the squad for now then miss out on the tournament squad, wether the manager does or doesn’t do this remains to be seen.

I just assumed that last night's crowd would be mainly tourists rather than regulars. Would the Saudi thing enter their consideration? Maybe people have put 2 and 2 together and jumped to conclusions. However, I can't think of another explanation for it.
