Nah not a big fan, like I say I think his international days are coming to an end.
I just think the qualities that he brings more off the pitch to the squad are not to be discarded just yet.

Newcastle fans won’t know whether to boo him or applaud him.

In seriousness they won’t care that he’s moved over there, abandoning all the moral supremacy he spouted during the World Cup, purely for the payday. They’ll boo him cos he was born 10 miles away lol. Figure that one out!

What qualities? No one knows what he brings behind the scenes, some of the younger lads with morals and a conscience probably won't take him seriously anymore.

What is it about people that don’t get that the issue here is people standing as advocates, as some moral compass, in effect dictating to everyone else how holier than thou they are... who then pivot and contradict their moral crusades to suit their own new agenda.
They are hypocrites and as most say the fans are not stupid. People have supported these two for years, helped them get where they are, and then they insult their intelligence.
Self righteous money grabbing hypocrites

Even outside of the politics of it Henderson should not be near that squad now. He’s not training or playing at a level that warrants a place. Pickford was publicly threatened that his place would be reviewed if Everton were relegated. So using that alone as a marker how the fuck is Henderson playing & Captaining the side. Southgate was a breath of fresh air but he has reverted the stereotypical England manager who is a full on yes man many thought he would have been from the off.

The manager knows his qualities, hence why he’s selecting him, and it’s a safe assumption that somebody who has captained one of the world most successful clubs to league titles and Champions league possess sound influence and leadership skills.

Took Sunderland fans for mugs ? I think even the most ardent SAFC fan didn’t think him going to Saudi possibly stopped a transfer back to Sunderland ?
