Southgate on Henderson

Of course Southgate knew the reasons for any booing were, but as any good manager would, you’re not going to acknowledge that to the watching world.
I fully agree that JH days should be numbered as an international player and he won’t make the euros squad, but he’ll unarguably bring many many good qualities to the squad behind the scenes. His experience and leadership qualities are unquestionable.
Leadership skills as in ? He has pissed on the fans by going to Saudi and that's a good quality ? Personally I wouldn't want him or his morals anywhere near an England camp when he's finished.
To be honest, Longstaff deserves a place in the squad ahead of Henderson. Football reasons only, Henderson looks miles off the pace.
Before Phillips as well and what does Ward Prowse have to do ?

He’s captained and led a hugely successful club for a large part of his career. He’s shown fantastic attributes in leadership skills likewise throughout his career.
That is all fact.
For those reasons he’s an asset to the squad. It certainly won’t be for much longer due to age and the level he’s now playing at, but nobody can question the qualities he’ll still bring to a squad.

The large part of his career is gone and forgot about 👋. If the FA get him near the England set up when he retires what message is that showing anyone ? its already a shit show playing him now.
Again what qualities ? just say the FA gave him a job then the Saudi National Team offered him a job you honestly think the money grabbing bastard would turn them down 🤣 .

He’s not the player he would have been years back due to age, undoubtedly.
But you don’t just lose the other qualities he certainly possesses.
Like I say, I imagine his days of getting into the squad are coming to an end, but he clearly will bring experience and qualities that others lack in the remaining time he does.
The state of this

What part is incorrect ?

Absolutely disgusting the booing of Henderson . The bloke has consistently been excellent for England and a leader (ask rice ,saka ,Bellingham etc). Whether he should be deserving of a place now is open to debate but I can understand why he is selected

You can still oppose the Saudi regime and it's morals by not booing an England player

Why not save your booing for st James park when the Saudi Arabia national team play their or join amnesty international and it's marches if you feel that strongly.

We both know the Saudi and middle east investment in football is here to stay whether we like it or not . Booing a bloke from farringdon comp Wont change that
Morning Hendo Sr

You know fine well why Henderson the Hypocrite got booed.

He put himself up as the poster boy for LGBTQ+ rights with his posing in rainbow laces etc and had a huge article in the Liverpool match day programme saying how proud he was to support LGBT+ rights , how all people of all persuasions should be treated equally and how he could never look his family and friends in the eye unless he supported those beliefs.
Then he got offered Megabucks by the headchopper and gay hating state of Saudi, changed his tune and said " Fuck my beliefs, fuck my conscience , just gimmee the money 💰💰💰💰 "

To the best of my knowledge Ronaldo has never done that, but please enlighten us.
Show us where state authorised imprisonment and executions are routinely carried out in Palestine then ...

It's abhorrent that people are discriminated against or punished for their sexual proclivities, wherever in the world it happens. It's disgusting when an already very wealthy flag bearer for the gay community then shits on his support for them purely for monetary greed and he deserves whatever he gets from football fans.
They know EXACTLY what he's done and why and they let him know.
Brilliant post, says it all.

Do you honestly believe this  .

In addition to the obvious maybe it’s also the frustration with watching a Southgate England side.

He’s put out a side of reservists yesterday and essentially learned nothing as that combo of players will never play with each other in a real game.

This giving them a run out nonsense is a joke as all of them play at a higher level than Australia weekly for their club.

Led us all down the garden path. Shown us all that nothing has value that can't be bought. He is a terrible role model.

It’s fact, so indeed I do.
Can you suggest what part is incorrect ?

Do you really think Southgate and his team mates think so ?
I presume not one of them has spoken out about it or voiced concern internally ?

True, Ward Prowse has done more this season than Phillips has in 2 years at club level.

Like when Keegan and Brooking were coming towards the end of their careers, the newly installed Bobby Robson knew it was time to jettison them and look to the future. It's a shame Southgate hasn't got the intelligence to do the same.

If he'd moved to Sunderland instead of Saudi you would be saying this you sportswashed fool.
