I think that it was Orwell or Jordan Peterson who stated that “the intellectual, tweed wearing middle class socialists don’t like the poor - they just hate the rich”. This has now been extended to white blokes.

I've looked at pictures of the mural that this lass is getting pelters for and there isn't anything immediately obvious that I could see that would identify it as a war memorial.

Aside from the fact it was painted in 1916 and depicts the act of conferring an unfishied degree onto an unknown soldier of course. You'd expect a senior member of the student union to know suck facts. Maybe not a jub from Sunderland.
