If something is against the rules, how is there no punishment detailing what an infraction of that rule would result in?
The Smoggies think Southampton should be booted out because that suits them.
But if there is no direct punishment already in place, why should that be the result?
May as well fine the Saints and promote Hull.
I really don’t understand why Boro played Southampton anyway. They should surely have lodged a complaint when the alleged breach happened and let the EFL deal with it there and then.

The punishment just says anything up to expulsion. I agree there should be something definitive. Problem is EFL is shite ultimately.

Whether Saints were looking in on the Boro training session, for just 5 minutes or a couple of hours is irrelevant - they broke the rules, and I think everybody is in agreement with that.

Southampton should & will be punished, though what that punishment will entail, is anybody's guess.

People's thoughts on what the punishment should/will be, is where the real debate lies.
 
If desicion isn't till tomorrow . Be hull v saints final . As both sets of fans will have bought tickers/ transportation/ hotels etc etc . Ultimately be punishing hull fans now if game postponed

Southampton have a duty of care to look after this kid and make sure this doesn't happen. There's a lot of personal scrutiny on him, and he could be the face of a £150m lawsuit or of his club being denied promotion, so they need to make sure he is given some support and protection as a club.

I understand your point that he could have said no, but there's a lot of other context here surely, including how systemic this may or may not have been, and why this guy was chosen as the fall guy.

Whole thing is a sham. You’ve got 3 teams training and preparing for a fixture ffs.

Southampton and Boro don’t know if they’re even playing it.
Hull don’t know who they’re actually playing.
