Southampton spying compendium thread

If something is against the rules, how is there no punishment detailing what an infraction of that rule would result in?
The Smoggies think Southampton should be booted out because that suits them.
But if there is no direct punishment already in place, why should that be the result?
May as well fine the Saints and promote Hull.
I really don’t understand why Boro played Southampton anyway. They should surely have lodged a complaint when the alleged breach happened and let the EFL deal with it there and then.
There isn’t a punishment as each case needs looking at as individual breaches. Financial breaches are easy you just say 1 point per £5m overspend but you can’t have the same punishment for 1 bloke taking notes over if he had videos, live streaming it back to other analysts who then broke it all down and could prepare against specific tactics. Even financial breaches have a full investigation and then can be given different punishments there’s no real crime/law break that has the same punishment each time.
I don't understand why they announced on Thursday that there'll be a meeting on Tuesday. Why wait 6 days when time is precious in this scenario. Surely they've got nothing else to do seen as though we're at the end of the season now. Typical EFL!
It’s an independent panel isn’t it? If so you need to get people who half understand the laws of the game, those people aren’t just sitting at home watching the horse racing or this morning waiting for a call. It’s one of the reasons the Man City case has taken so long.

Last week they said that a decision would be made by today at the latest or sooner if possible. That suggested to me that that inquiry board have been looking at it for a few days and the plan wasn't just to leave it until today before they met.

I can tell you, from personal experience, if I say "something will be ready by Day X, or possibly before", then the earliest possible point it'll be ready is Day X.

More likely it'll be Day X + 2 Days
