Southampton spying compendium thread

You open a whole can of worms with that though, especially if it turns out they’ve been doing it all season since this new lad came in.

Other teams will be wanting to bring a case against Southampton as well, especially those who narrowly missed the play offs themselves.
The Americans in North Wales will be all ower it if they have any footage at all that might link to Southampton spying o them. They were wanting to get promoted for the next series on Disney+.

Litigation is a way of life stateside.

Seems to me the 'internal investigation' is likely no more than bollocks to draw it out and get them to play the final, making it more difficult to strip them if they win.

Exactly this, which is why the EFL need to resolve it quickly, not let the Southampton owners drag it out. They've admitted it was one of their employees who went up to Teesside and did it, so no defence.

The earlier suggestion of a default 3-0 win to Boro is justified and fair.

And why have the rule, and it's clear punishments, if it isn't enforced?
I don’t know mate as I didn’t make the rule up…🤷🏻‍♂️ and when Sunderland went to league one and nearly out of business were they sympathetic towards Sunderland etc? No they weren’t they all took the **** including the ones one here so **** em

Boro now claiming they have evidence of Southampton doing this to 2 other clubs this season. Getting spicy this.
All thats left now is for the EFL to act quickly and decisively - kicking Scout-hampton out the playoffs while they still have time for Boro to sell tickets for the final.

What could possibly go wrong.

People saying points deduction for Southampton regardless of what league they’re in.

The premier league aren’t going to follow suit from an EFL investigation tbf. They’ll basically get away with it if they’re promoted - until they’re relegated again.

Even then, it's not clear-cut. When QPR went up years ago, they stuck their fingers up whilst leaving the EFL, only to face very little on the way back down.

I've no love for Burra, but it's the principle. Football has been changed so much by too much money and the culture now of cheats, and their chicanery, prospering is sickening.

It's now endemic from FIFA down.

You’re right about morals and principles,do they exist in football these days especially? Me personally , you’ve only gotta look at the fact that they’ll do next to nothing to punish your money clubs but will punish those further down the pyramid straight away..I think footballs knackered and has been for years

If the EFL hit Southampton with a points deduction:
  1. if they go up, they’ll be straight in the mix as favourites for relegation next season.
  2. And if they bottle it against Hull in the play-off final? Then you’re looking at them as one of the favourites for drop to League One

What the fuck are they doing !? Proper mess that

They won’t be touched if they get to the premier league and be one of the favourites to go back down anyway just like we were.
