Southampton spying compendium thread

It does beg the question have they being doing this since the new bloke came in? Their form took off, while it might not have played a big part they did turn around their season and now it all feels a bit iffy. If boro have evidence they have done it to two others then they’ve probably been doing it for sometime.
As a coach, Eckert was assistant coach of the U17 team at 1. from 2013 to 2016, before
Maybe he learned more than just coaching at Cologne;

The new bloke who started as an analyst, is obsessed with data analysis, had never been a manager or head coach beforehand and immediately turned them round on taking over, from 21st to 4th with form that would have had them runaway league winners, including beating the Prem champions elect, getting them to an FA Cup semi final, defeat in which to Man City was their only loss in the last 25 games, 19 of which they won.

Aye, I'm going to agree with you and say they've probably been doing it for a while.

Definitely seems iffy as fuck, this will drag on won’t it. Gonna be red tape everywhere if Southampton go up, they’ll fight it all through every court. Efl if they don’t sort it now will be praying hull go up to save the nightmare then they’ll just hit them with a fine or a small points deduction.

Of course it does. You don't think being able to see what shape a team is training in, what personnel are fit or not fit, what 2nd and 3rd formations are being worked on, what set piece routines are being created etc doesn't make a huge difference?
Why spy though surely they set up can guague from tv how they set up

It will still have to go through a procedure though. It's gone to an independent panel.
I get what you're saying mate. But where is the punitive punishment for the semi 1st leg? The match that they 'gained' the advantage in?

They're cracking on as normal hoping everything gets blown over.

I hate cheats mate.

F1 will never be the same for me after Dubai 2021 for similar reasons.

It’s no different to Swindon all those years ago.

Cheating to be promoted.

The need to chuck them out to discourage this from happening again.

If not, you might as well just do it.

Even if the fine is X, it’ll be fuck all for the PL riches you gain.

I think they’ll make an example of them.

They have to.

If not it’s a free for all.

could they not just watch tapes of the 40+ games they've played live on TV this season ?

Teams work on things specifically for other sides. Different transitions, shapes, backup formations etc etc. They can gain a lot from it imo.

Not just about how they set up. They work on things for specific sides every team does

Yeah but apart from that, there's nothing suspicious at all 🤣

They've only conceded 8 goals from set pieces since TA arrived in November.

He's apparently well known for the fact that he's introduced a 3 day window in training before each match to work on defending set pieces specific to each opponent.
