Small as it may be, the Monty writing adds just a little bit extra character so this should to the East Stand as well. They should put a couple of crests either side it, old ship badge one side and current badge at the other.

Still think the East Stand being called The Roker Park Stand should’ve been done years ago and the concourse made into a shrine to it with photos, artwork, banners and so on. Would’ve made more sense with Roker Avenue and Roker itself nearest that stand. Will never happen now the South Stand got named the Roker End though.

So it is definitely the South stand being extended, as they are not doing the East stand if they have put new lettering on the roof. I am expecting shovels in the ground outside the South stand by the weekend, once the cherry picker finishes off the lettering.
