The Club has recently lodged a pre-application submission with the Council for the redevelopment of the South Stand to increase the Stadium seating capacity by c.5,300 seats (smaller than that which was previously granted permission at 7,200 extra seats)
Looking at the plans i don't know how we are loosing 1,900 seats when the seating deck and depth are the same as what was planned in 2001 unless the seats are wider and the decks deeper and steeper as it shows 23 rows rather than 27.

Having the lower bowl full of Sunderland has been class so far this season.

I think he means its less visible up there,so doesn't look as bad.

It has been mate. This season apart and the Cov play off game at home...cant remember it being noisy on a regular basis. Circumstances dictated that like to an extent.

Ah right. Apologies mate. I was all for bringing away fans down...but not now. Atmosphere has been great....especially attacking the South Stand 2nd half. It's made a difference imo. Keep them up there.

Not going be many lows in the prem then we can have a bigger allocation in the north stand upper.

But looks like could happen sooner rather than later. Tempting fate but I think we'll stay up and sell out again. I said before we need 3 seasons in PL before doing this. But then? Why not?

I think the development at Sheepfolds will force our hand to extend the south stand sooner than planned

Could be wrong, but looking at the upper tier, the terracing looks deeper & taller than that below, hence less rows & less seats?

Agree. I hate the idea of needing to rely on opposition supporters for atmosphere, that should be our job. Opposition supporters should have as little influence on a game as possible and think it’s correct they’re put up in the gods
