SOL expansion

They are also missing out on additional revenue from gigs etc. Although they still get a couple, Spurs and WHU take the majority

They have started over the last few years and Springsteen was there many years ago. I think Boyzone are there in the summer

Also Tottenham hosted a couple during the last international break.

And it isn’t just the football stadiums they are losing out to it is places like Twickenham, Hyde Park, Finsbury Park, Victoria Park etc

Bottom line is the demand is there and a generation of younger fans will be lost if we don’t , it’s a mad scramble trying to get tickets currently . Cheapest and least risk , I assume , is to extend south stand and would add 4-5k ??
Also risk of sheepfold developments .
Show ambition and do it while can
Just go for it and extend both stands and get it over with. Could easily be selling out 55k now, so gives a bit of room for further growth if needed. Cost involved to do both would be a fraction of what other clubs are having to spend on extending one stand. Look at cost the scum are facing just to add another 7k seats to the Gallowgate stand, estimated at well over half a billion.

Use any empty seats to attract kids for the future.

I was at the Springsteen gig at the Emirates - May 2008. Only time I’ve been. Had this annoying mag sat behind who was constantly talking about “The Toon” to the poor guy who had the misfortune to be sat next to him. The guy also kept telling everyone that he was a banker, but I think he’d misread the w for a b.
I did see us at Highbury in ‘96 when we went down to 9 men quite early on and held onto nil nil before conceding 1 or 2? late goals.

The uni party has served Sunderland and the area so well.
This unwavering support for what was the Labour party, is destructive.
But many won't see it. They blame the Tories, who were completely inept. And Labour are just continuing it.
The bottom is calling lads and lasses...
The future has never looked brighter for Sunderland, council playing their part.

I'd say build it now before the saudis leave the scum in a pile of manure, we need to be equipped for the extra revenue we'll be receiving when the Durham mags change their alligiences again
If the Saudis leave them high and dry, do we really want the plastic mags, they can all go and watch Man Utd on the telly or sleep with their sisters or whatever but supporting Sunderland, no thank you. They only buy knock off tops from Turkey or whatever so prob not much revenue generation. Extra revenue should be long term aim, kids and teenagers not like the last of the summer wine up the road. It was proper noticeable at the FA cup game, the whole north stand, average age must have been 50 something.

Wouldn't want them personally but they've proved that they'll only support the best team in the area, as this was the scum when we were in league one then it'll be odds on that when we become top dogs which I truly believe is not far away there will be an influx of them

Hypothetical here, but if they did extend the South stand, what would they do with current season ticket holders? Surely the stand would have to be stand down in areas for health and safety reasons
