SOL expansion

“If we stay up, everything looks different with potential partners willing to commit knowing you are an established Premier League club.”

David also spoke about the club’s increased international profile since being promoted and the opportunity to develop SAFC’s brand in international markets.

The former Monkwearmouth Academy pupil said: “We are now selling out match days and have a thousand future season ticket holders on our waiting list. So we need to manage demand, which is a great problem to have.
Bruce yesterday^^....1,000 season ticket holders waiting list....

Stay up get it done!

The original plan was to extend the South stand increasing the capacity to 55,000, then when we make the champions league, extend the East stand taking capacity upto 63,000
Whoe's plans were these?Coz the new south stand extension(if it happens)has 5500 seats(more corporate room) not the original 7500!

Where are these plans?
which ones are you talking about?the proposal ones (not detailed)attached to the recent objection lodged to the council ? or the original 20 odd year old ones? search on here they are around if you look!It shows a larger corporate section and reduce seats by 2500 to 5500.

Apparently ran out of the few thousand non season tickets for the Arsenal game in 5 minutes. Ticket office said 4th person in the queue got tickets and they’d sold out on line……

The Club has recently lodged a pre-application submission with the Council for the redevelopment of the South Stand to increase the Stadium seating capacity by c.5,300 seats (smaller than that which was previously granted permission at 7,200 extra seats)
Looking at the plans i don't know how we are loosing 1,900 seats when the seating deck and depth are the same as what was planned in 2001 unless the seats are wider and the decks deeper and steeper as it shows 23 rows rather than 27.

Could rail seating be a possible explanation?

Proposed south stand extension looks much larger than the North Stand loads of extra concourse space
