Raducanu into round 3 with a second dominant display.

Unfortunately she's got Rybakina next round who's just come through there. Served a bit crap and wasn't great overall just now in her match against Valentova but probably the form player on the tour apart from Swiatek at the minute. Never been past the third round here though so hopefully that continues.

Be surprised if it's not main event under the lights on either Ashe or Armstrong on Friday night.

Unfortunately Raducanu getting absolutely blown away here. That other lass ( had too many beers to spell her name correctly) is just too powerful.

I love Raducanu and what she did for British women’s tennis but God I wish she could get her mojo back, looking like she’ll never get back to the top table, made stacks of money and set for life so well played the young lady 👍👍

I lumped on Rybakina as thought she would have too much for Emma, proved really one sided unfortunately. Would have liked to see Emma attempt the drop shot to mix it up as she was getting dominated at the base line.

All eyes now on Norrie can he get past Djokovic.

Cam Norrie just won the second set in breaker against Djokovic to tie it up, looking really really good so far. Djokovic most likely wins in 4 regardless but there's always something about the US Open that feels like it brings more random shocks for the elite players han any other Slams. Djokovic against Popyrin and van de Zandschulp v Alcaraz both last year, Fed against Millman & Robredo (albeit injured in the latter) and Rafa against Fognini & Pouille all off the top my head.

Be a nice surprise if Cam can get his first win against Djokovic, nice early break to start the third set.

Said at the time of the Wimbledon final I'd fancy Anisimova to reach another Slam final before the end of 2026, her odds drifted a touch after the draw here even though I didn't think it was that bad and I still chose not to double up and back her again. Donkey brains. Still hope she goes on to win the tournament though.

Gotta be the most mentally strong player on the WTA side at the moment, guess you can probably put Sabalenka there with her as well. Really really impressive how she's bounced straight back after that Wimbledon final instantly.

It was a cracking performance as Swiatek didn't play that badly. Needed to stop playing to Amanda's backhand (he says being very average at tennis)!!

Martina Navratilova is fuming the final is delayed because of Trump. She was one of them that was going to move away from America because he got elected.

Don't elite athletes plan their warm ups etc to the last minute so they are at their peak come game time?
