SMB Tennis thread

Smaller side of the court with a stupid format against a bloke who's barely picked up a racket in two years and has plead guilty in court to hitting his ex girlfriend.

Great stuff.

Hate forced “fun”
Her court 9% smaller
Why

How humiliating for womenswear tennis
It's pretty obvious why. There is a strength difference between men and women, which is why no official tournaments are mixed like this. The women wouldn't win anything. This court alteration is a way of trying to even it out a bit.

Everyone on Krygios back, an injured jobbing player in need of some cash

What on earth was Sabalenka doing? World number 1 , status and money. Just totally embarassing on her part, losing to the injured world 700th with half the court

Is he genuinely the biggest bottle job in the history of the sport? Even knowing what he's done his whole career I still couldn't really believe what I was watching earlier on. Alcaraz clawed back to a pretty good level but it's so predictable watching Zverev in big moments - 6'5 with a huge serve, massive backhand and a forehand that can rip through the court like the winner for 5-3 even if it is incosistent - just push the ball into play safely. Just a light little tap and hope the other player makes the error. Even when he was coming to the net the approach was safe and about six yards inside the baseline.

It's never gonna be as bad as that Thiem loss at the Open in 2020 but dear me that just there was one of his worst ever losses. All round dogshit human being, very funny to watch.
