Forehand maxed out, backhand maxed out, return of serve maxed out, moves like an elastic band, barely misses a ball, changes direction with ease on both forehand and backhand, takes it down the line with ease on both forehand and backhand, good serve, good drop shots. 100 wins and 8 losses on tour since the 2023 US Open. Best player in the world by a fair distance which is crazy considering how good Alcaraz is.

On a more important note it's always a good day when Zverev is sad. Zero break points in a Slam final is hilarious. Gonk.

We do need an Alcaraz/Sinner final though. Sinner has the consistency but I think Alcaraz beats him in the biggest moments and has the greater talent (imo).

Djokovic ruined this tournament tbh!

Wow - well done Madison Keys and cannot argue against it - beat the number 1 and number 2 - well deserved
Beat 3x slam champs, a former slam runner up and a multiple time slam semi finalist/Olympic medalist.
Her 3rd round to final makes it an all time great slam win
This match with Novak and Carlos is just superb.

The level is just insane.
Was a good match, very good level from Novak but Alcaraz just had too many dips in level throughout - Alcaraz' best tennis beats everyone but his average tennis is worse than an avergae Novak and Sinner

Only way to beat him unless your Alcaraz seems to be to grind him down and take him long till his body breaks down. All tournament he's looked like his body has 2.5 hours of tennis in it before he starts cramping or his hip/back condition starts to flare up...lucky for him only the Rune match went longer than that and he got an 11 minute timeout in that match at 1 set all.
Really hope WADA don't ruin it and get him suspended with the French and Wimbledon to come.

Commentators mentioned that if the scan is accurate that Djokovic will be looking at months out Injured not weeks 🙏

World number one Sinner banned for three months -

Nicely timed....not missing any big tournaments then...

Just finished watching Jack Draper's match against Ben Shelton last night, really good performance that. Now only one win away from making his top ten debut on Monday morning. Granted that win seems incredibly unlikely but Draper's rolled through the first matches without dropping a set or even needing a tie break so you never know.

Next to no points to defend from Miami through the whole clay court season - only five wins in that time last year and three of those are irrelevant because he'll get R1 byes in these tournaments this year - so even with a loss against Alcaraz tomorrow the top ten debut seems inevitable either this month or next.

On a different note - Rafa was on Andy Roddick's podcast earlier this week, might actually be the first time I've heard Rafa nerd out a little bit about tennis. Fun listen.

good start in the final, 1-0 double break

do they only have 1 kit supplier now? i noticed against alcaraz they both had the same gear but alcaraz was in pink.
they are both wearing almost identical gear here. same colour, same white cap on backwards. different colour shorts at least.
