Swiatek banned for doping.
Already sat a month out whilst provisionally suspended then plays the WTA finals then gets another 1 month ban when there's no tennis tournaments.
Make it make sense!

Here we go, first Slam of the year about to get underway. Off work week after next so will no doubt ruin my sleeping pattern for the second week.

Nothing to go off this year really cos of the big names have played on the men's side but it's hard to look past Sinner as the massive favourite.

Hope Jacob Fearnley wallops Kyrgios off the court tomorrow.

Love the slams.

Working nights the next few weeks so I will be watching.

Hard to see past Sinner and Sabalenka but gone for

Medvedev @14-1

And in the ladies complete outsiders

Vondrousova @ 250-1
Yamstremska @150-1

Would love to see Medvedev win it. Him, Draper or Tommy Paul would be the three I'd like to see win it but unfortunately as boring as it is I would also back the two favourites same as you. Gauff looked good against Swiatek a couple weeks ago but her draw's a bit grim.

Always thought the Australian Open should be the Slam that produces the most shocks with it being start of the year and no chance to play yourself into form but seldom has ever happened. I mean I guess when you've got the three greatest players of all time and one not far behind them all active then there's not gonna be many shocks at any time.

Fonseca's 2024 season finished on 22nd December when he won the Next Gen finals. His 2025 season started nine days later on the 31st December :lol:

So far this year he's already won a Challenger and then won through qualies here. Hasn't dropped a set either. Fourteen wins on the bounce now as well.

I see that Draper's opponent today was one of a bunch of Tennis players that took part in a "Exhibition" tournament last month in Russia sponsored by Gazprom.
