SMB Tennis thread (note there is a specific Wimbledon 22 thread)

So having the most slams right now means they’re the greatest? In that case Margaret court would smash Serena
Imagine using an example as a comparison of two players who played 40 years apart  different generations, Novak and Federer are playing now. It’s very different.

Mate you said Federer is 6 years older and in the same post said that Novak would come out on top if they were both in their prime. Well we’ve just watched the longest and closest Wimbledon finals ever with Federer clearly not in his prime and turning 38 this year.

The greatest player of all time. He is an absolute freak. The f***ing bollocks on you to come back from match point down *40-15 against Roger Federer in a Grand Slam, not once but twice, is incredible.

The second best player in that match for 95% and he's managed to beat Federer. There is no player in history that could do that in a Wimbledon final.

Just had a better tie break strategy.

Can't argue with that

Novak and federer are playing now yes, and Novak is smashing him.

At 6 years his younger I’d expect him to. He’s the current No.1 and in his prime. He’s also a very good player. Took him 5 hours, a better tie break strategy, and a bit of luck, but he got it over the line. Fair play to him. Maybe one day he’ll become the best ever!

Better tie break strategy
Did he win a set that didn’t go to tie break?

Nah mate I just think your Roger love in is cringey as fuck
I see irony is lost on you
