Very trueDidn’t see that coming in a million years, incredible from Medvedev but so poor from Djokovic.
Also that American crowd are complete wankers .
Let's be fair, the level hes put out in patches this year (Austalia final, Nadal at the french, the french final where Tsitispas played great tennis for the majority of the match, wimbledon throughout, the Berretini final 3 sets in the US QF) always meant he had to have a bad day to get beaten.Well, that was quite something
Serena / Vinci vibes all over again. The brain completely shot to pieces when 28/0 was on the line.
YES YES YES YES
That's what 2019 feels like!
Buzzing for Medvedev, to win your 1st slam against arguably the greatest of all time when he's going for something as special as the Calandar Slam is unreal.
That US open joins Australia 2017 as my favourite combined. (Raducanu + Medvedev winning their 1st) (Serena + Federer comebacks)

Still, Medvedev could really take off for the rest of his career now with the confidence that win will give him.
Only Wawrinka, Federer, Nadal, Murray, Del Potro had beaten the big 3 in a slam final in the last 15 years (give or take).
That win tonight cannot be understated just how big it was.
What did they do?that American crowd are complete wankers .
£70 up!There’s questions over Djokovic mentality lately. Over the past year he’s lost the plot several times.
I think Medvedev will win it this year.
Sounded like trying to put off Mednevev off when he was serving for the match. Massively cheering even if put first serve in the net. Had a few double faultsWhat did they do?
Yeah agree with your last line massively, could be the making of him. His game and style seems perfectly built for playing against Djokovic and he's got the serve and backhand to beat Nadal on hard. Think he believes and knows he can beat them anyway but now he's beaten one of them in a Slam it could be a complete game changer.
Will be interesting to see how Djokovic reacts to this, it's the most human he's ever looked tonight. Crying during the final changeover because of the support and then what he's said in the interview and in press after. Had a massive hangover and a bit of a fall off after he first won the French and completed the career slam first time, wonder if we see that again or see him back to a high level with
Also wouldn't be quite when he was trying to serve when he had 2 championship points then cheered his double faults.Sounded like trying to put off Mednevev off when he was serving for the match. Massively cheering even if put first serve in the net. Had a few double faults
Great win for Cam Norrie against top seed Andrey Rublev in San Diego ( 3-6 6-3 6-4 )
He'll play Dimitrov or Ruud in Sunday's final.
