Top 5 of 2025, in no particular order:
- One Battle After Another
- A Real Pain
- Sinners
- Train Dreams
- House Of Dynamite
Honorable mentions for
September 5th as my biggest surprise of the year.
Bring Her Back as scariest film of the year.
Black Bag for showing that movies can sometimes actually be BETTER by being short and punchy. And
Mission Impossible, Superman and
F1: The Movie which were just pure, unashamed, Hollywood popcorn munching entertainment, but actually done well for a change. (Been years since I've seen a typical summer 'blockbuster' movie that wasn't just tedious shite.)
