Went to see it with jr on Xmas eve. Way way too long at over 3 hrs with loads and loads of shit filler, could have knocked an hour and a half off and still managed to get the story thru.

Story is pretty week too and drags along interspersed with pointless scenes which I can only presumed were to shoehorn in more 3d stuff
Time to let the franchise die as its pretty dire

3/10 and the 3 was for the 3d stuff which still looks ok at times
Funny feeling this won't do as well as the previous 2 outings, offered to take my lads at Christmas and got a definite NO answer. Reason, being too long and what will be different to previous 2 general story lines.
Cleaner - Despite it being a plane film, this is terrible, not sure what Daisy Didley was thinking, it not even so bad it's good. just so bad, its bad. I watched several films on the plane to/from UK and most were forgettable and just wasted a few hours, but this is the only one that stood out as a waste of runtime (Aye i did stick it out) 3/10

The House on 92nd Street (1945) - YouTube

FBI-approved spy film about planting a double agent inside a network of German fifth columnists. Sometimes drags, sometimes sparkles.

5.5/10

I don't know if Wrong Again Bradshaw is wrong about this film, but he's managed to fit in a misleading description of Eddie Vedder's role in Pearl Jam

Scrooge (1935) - Encore

Suffers due to comparisons with the 1951 version, but this is a very fine film in its own right. Seymour Hicks is excellent in the title role, and the photography is very atmospheric. Probably my second favourite version. It actually feels like it’s set at the time, even though it was 92 years afterwards. Weird to think that it’s only 2 years off being as close to the original story as we are to this film.

8/10
