You wake up but cant actually move. Happened about 5 times to me and it is horrible. What happens?
What happens?
f***ing hellYou are asleep, but mentally you feel awake, however you can't move. Feels like you're paralysed and want to get up, but can't.
f***ing hell
I could be wrong but I think anxiety, stress that kind of thing brings it on.
Also, if you need to be up early, your mind tells you not to fully drift off but your body wants to sleep and causes sleep paralysis to happen.
Some people have visions of things pushing them down and stuff as well. I usually have some shadowy creature around when it happens but I’ve had it enough times to recognise it’s sleep paralysis while it’s happening.
The mind is a wonderful thing.
That's not the worst of it always. Sonetimes you see things. I've only had it once but i saw a black demon crawl up my bedspread up to my face before I was in control of my body.f***ing hell
Sleep is mental. The consciousness of sleep is fascinating as so much is unanswered at the moment. Recurring dreams that are really specific but have no relatable context to your normal life is a bizarre one.
Used to get it all the time when I was a teenager.Apologies if there's already threads on this, but anyone had it?
Probably occurred to me about 3-4 times in my life and it's been terrifying each time, you sort of go in a mental battle with your body to wake itself up, very weird.
