Sir Brian Brobbey

If he can work on the stiff arm rather than shirt grabbing he'll get us 15 goals next year
I believe Brobbey is still currently working with Patrick Woerst. Turning more quickly and avoiding so many duels was one thing they identified in Holland as necessary as it was wearing him out in games. Scanning the field of play, orientation and receiving the ball whilst moving apparently the other key areas they are working on. He was clearly targeted by Spurs yesterday, really trying to rough him up and get him into battles. It worked to an extent, never seen him given so many free kicks.

Fantastic if it were possible, but I get the point of what you're saying. Double figures would be a decent target. Goals are harder to come by for strikers it seems. There are only 3 in the PL with 15 or more currently. Haaland, Semenyo and Thiago.

God help the defenders if the best tactic managers have to combat Brobbey is to 'rough' him up.

There's more to come from him, but he will be less of a surprise package next season. We will need to find new and exciting ways of using his strengths.
Exciting times ahead.

Diarra is a key part of the team IMHO. He is the only midfielder we have with the pace and dynamism to get beyond the main striker and cause problems. We will get the best out of Brobbey with people playing closer to him.
To be honest he isnt really a surprise package anymore knowing his style of play is one thing stopping him is another. He will be better next seaon.

He's not a striker, he's a centre forward........There's proper some numb nuts on this forum!
Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce the signing of Brian Brobbey, subject to international clearance.

Moving to Wearside from Ajax, the 23-year-old striker has signed a five-year contract at the Stadium of Light.

From the safc website

Brian Brobbey is leaving Ajax for the Premier League, for Sunderland, to be precise. The striker came through the Amsterdam-based youth academy, joined the Club of 100, and scored more than fifty goals for Ajax's first team. Here is his Ajax career in pictures.

From the Ajax website

RB Leipzig have secured the signature of Brian Brobbey, with the Netherlands U19 striker set to join on a four-year contract from Ajax this summer.
From the official Bundesliga website :lol:

Newcastle wanted to be aggressive, we just wanted to attract them, play with Brian, support him, and now we can kill the press, and even in the final turn, he's getting better, he's a good, good striker."
Regis Le Bris on Brobbey only last month

Numb nut
