Palace have proven international players like Eze and Guehi. Those two alone are currently worth more than our entire squad.

Yeah definitely delusional. We've brought in 6 players, but lost 2. Net result is that we still have nowhere near the depth needed to put out a competitive second string*. Given that league success will depend on new players not only living up to expectations, but also staying fit, we'd be mental using cup matches for anything other than reserve games. From that perspective, we're not equipped for a cup run and I'd expect us to exit both early on.

* - caveated that this is based on the status quo.

The premier league is more competitive than ever because of the spending restrictions, IF you buy well, and I think we have so far.

If we go into this season with the attitude of survival, we will not survive. The players need to have a winning attitude instilled in them, no fear, we should be the feared. They need to visualise themselves as boys playing their first games, visualise how fun it was and how there was no fear or nerves, then they need to play like that in the premier league.

It's all mental, other teams might have better individual talent, but if we have the best team mentality it will make up for that.

We will shock them all and they will learn to fear us, oh yes they will.

If we can't challenge for the cups as a PL club then we never can. I absolutely think we should try to win them both. Get a few kind draws and you can find yourself in the quarters relatively easily. It's not a league or cup situation, we are in both. We are as close to level playing field as we have been in 8 years, bearing in mind it was only 11 years since our last final.
